SHAME? FAME? REN FILES BOTH
The Wall's early vocabulary is almost too neat for Ren.
August 25, 2020. Ansun calls it:
"wall of shame"
Twenty-four seconds later Ren answers:
"Nice I though of this as a hall of fame"
And then, four seconds after that:
"But wall of shame works too"
That tiny surrender is basically the room's operating problem in miniature. Ren is already looking at the same pile of screenshots and quotes as something worth preserving because it is memorable; Ansun is looking at the same pile and seeing prosecution. Ren accepts both jurisdictions.
By March 2021 she has stopped choosing between them:
"Everyone has a spot on the wall of shame-fame OWO"
Then:
"*one of us*"
The phrase is no longer an argument. It is a hybrid. Everybody is apparently eligible for induction, and the route can be disgrace, affection, or the particularly UL condition where nobody can tell the difference anymore.
In January 2022 Ren explains the room to somebody asking what the Wall is and calls it the place for shame-worthy moments of "People’s history". By December she is still using Hall of Fame positively — something adorable belongs there because it is adorable.
That is why the quote-hoarding behavior reads less like random screenshot collecting when the years are put together. Ren keeps treating memorable social debris as retrievable material whether the file says shame or fame. The archive still does not prove she created the Wall, named it, or invented the positive half. What it does prove is that from very early on, Ren kept insisting the evidence locker could also be a trophy case.
THE INDEX WAS ALSO USING THE ROOM
Before Ren becomes human Ctrl+F, opening night catches her on the other side of the desk. The conversation has wandered into pandemic anxiety; at 11:22 PM she tells the room, "You kept me distracted for a while! That made it better".
That matters because Slice is not only a thing Ren later explains, routes, and remembers for everybody else. On day one, she is one of the people using it for exactly what Snow built it for: life outside the game, including the part where life is scary and the group chat helps for a while. Municipal records had a client file too.
CTRL+F HAS PERMISSIONS
Ren's house-index behavior is not only finding the file. Slice catches her maintaining the ACL too. Aeshleen says the game is over; Ren files her under "forever family". Cookie forgets Slice exists; Ren reminds him that "Vip don’t got access here".
Same woman, same municipal records office: one drawer says you still belong, the other says that badge still does not buy a key.
