SHE GOT SHOWN THE GUIDES. SIX MONTHS LATER SHE WAS HANDING THEM OUT.
Anayss's earliest surviving Lobby turn is almost aggressively ordinary. On April 14, 2020 she arrives with "Hiii! 😊". Gilli tells her she should have access to everything and that "The guides are at the top left". Anayss answers "Thankies!".
Six months later, the direction of travel has flipped. On October 30, Anayss is the one telling Type X "Role assigned" and sending them to the Discord Tour. In November she welcomes Nhou back. In December she asks Akuma for the intake fields, follows with "Welcome to UL!!!", and hands over the server map. By June 2021 she is still doing the same boringly essential work, routing Gabby to both the tour and the club rules.
Nobody hands her a ceremonial Gatekeeper sash. The job just starts happening. The person who once got told where the guides were becomes one of the people telling somebody else where to look. UL infrastructure reproduces itself through somebody remembering how the door works.
And because this is Anayss, the scene acquires a second punchline when September 2020 is placed next to it. She is also the woman telling Club Only "I lag when using the map >.>" because "i get lost a lot". That is the Dragon Raja map, not the Discord Tour. Different map. Same person. One system defeats her; in the other, she becomes the directions.
THE RECEPTION DESK HAS "UWU"
The funnier part is that becoming useful does not make Anayss sound remotely more official. Nhou gets "role assigned uwu wb! ^-^". Akuma gets an intake request ending in "C:", then "Welcome to UL!!!" and the server map. Another arrival gets "If you get lost and enjoy your stay with us!!". The procedure is real. The clipboard apparently has stickers on it.
Neli gets the version that says the most about how Anayss handles people. Anayss already knows Neli belongs to Underlords, says so, and asks only for the one remaining intake requirement. Another greeter closes the assignment afterward. She is not treating a familiar person like an empty form, and she is not pretending the front door is a one-woman kingdom either. The work is distributed; the person in front of her is still a person.
That is the contradiction that makes the current command role feel lived instead of pasted on later. Anayss can be operationally reliable while sounding like somebody who wandered behind reception and refused to surrender "Hai", hearts, "uwu", or the occasional typo to management.
SHE WILL ALSO PERSONALLY DELIVER YOUR HUG
The same instinct does not only show up at the official front door. By early 2021, YoChan is already "my yo yo". When Beks admits she has not even met YoChan yet but wants to hug her, she asks Anayss to pass it on. Anayss answers "of course i can send your hug", yells "YOCHAN" into the room, and when YoChan appears explains the emergency with "I’m just sending hugs bitch. Per Beks request 😌".
That is Anayss in miniature: a social bridge who can make the handoff feel like a bit instead of logistics. Beks does not need an introduction ceremony. Anayss already knows where the person is, carries the affection across, and immediately removes any danger that the moment might become dignified.
The joke lands harder after YoChan leaves. Anayss opens with "Seems like I always get left behind lets stop getting attached to people then..." and then immediately betrays the defense herself: "you know I love you to pieces and Im always here", followed by "I already miss you so much and it’s been a day". A week later the whole feeling has compressed into "My yo yo left me 🧍♀️".
She can make attachment sound unserious right up until the wording tells on her.
SHE DOESN'T NEED EVERY BIT EXPLAINED
Some of Anayss's familiarity shows up in what no longer surprises her. Snow knowingly feeds the Wall in October 2020 and she simply tells him "Im used to you saying that kinda things so I just ignored it 😛". Snow later calls her "numb from my posts". The useful part is not that Anayss ignores Snow; it is that she can recognize one of his recurring registers well enough to decide this particular offense does not require paperwork.
Two years later, Ansun notices a much smaller routine. Daya posts a Dragon Raja screenshot tagged to the pair, and Sou/Ansun immediately objects that the profile pictures are switched because "Anas usually the catto-". Three seconds later he has already promoted the mismatch to "alternate timeline". Anayss answers "OWO", then "Multiverse is real".
Nobody stops to explain the cat. Nobody negotiates the joke. Snow's nonsense can be familiar enough to ignore; Ansun can notice a tiny presentation habit and turn it into multiverse law; Anayss can step straight into the premise. Around people she knows, a lot of meaning lives in the shortcut.
THE ROOM BECAME THE SUBJECT
By November 2020 Anayss is not only inside UL's social machinery; she is literally drawing the people in it. In the Louvre she posts a group-chibi work in progress and names several UL people she intends to include. She supplies the cast herself. The room has become material.
Then the art trail refuses to be a one-upload cameo. In June 2021 Bryce says one of Anayss's artworks is still his phone background. That "still" is the little emotional receipt: something she made escaped the channel, survived the scroll, and kept living on somebody else's device.
Anayss is still experimenting out loud that summer: "first time drawing anime", then "first time drawing art on a PC". In September Gilli does not stop at "nice"; the praise gets specific — shading, eyes, hair, clothes — and Anayss answers with process talk. No ceremonial Artist title appears. None is needed. She is visibly making things, learning in public, and getting the kind of feedback people give when they have actually looked.
GILLI GETS "WAIFU". THE SENTENCE STILL HAS A HEART IN IT.
Gilli is already in Anayss's story as one of the people helping her find her footing at the door, and later as somebody looking closely enough at Anayss's drawings to praise the shading, eyes, hair, and clothes instead of tossing out a generic "nice". Then Anayss's June 2021 birthday message decides subtlety has had enough: "Happy birthday my amazing and wonderful waifu ~ I wish you only the best".
That line works because neither half cancels the other. "Waifu" is the ridiculous costume. "I wish you only the best" is just sincere. It is affectionate house language, not a dating announcement; the warmth is still real without promoting the joke into relationship status. Anayss can make tenderness wear a stupid hat and somehow the tenderness survives just fine.
THE INTERNET PERSON BECOMES A CAKE PERSON
Anayss spends years recognizing returners before the bot remembers who they are. Then Slice catches the relationship crossing the screen entirely: "Today I met @Noether! She baked a cake for me ❤️".
Noether calls it "A date with ana". That is enough to make the joke; nobody needs to upgrade it into romance. One of the internet people became somebody you could hand cake to.
BY 2023, THE CLUB KEEPS PUTTING HER IN THE PICTURE
The later creative rooms make the earlier art trail turn around and look back at her. By 2023, Anayss is not merely the person at the door, the person yelling the next battle timer, or one of the people who once drew UL. Multiple people keep deciding that if they are rendering Underlords as people, she belongs in frame.
WolfPhenix's March anniversary "ul neighbourhood" project names Anayss among the represented cast. Snow's April "UL Anime graphic novel characters" batch names her again. By December, Mugs is explicitly tagging Anayss into Rotini's winter-PFP request run, and Rotini's named batch includes her too. The captions keep putting her in the cast. The individual pixels can keep their secrets.
The better Anayss beat is October 26. Rotini is in the Louvre doing what artists do after finishing something: staring at it long enough to decide it is personally offensive. "It's painful! 🎨". Anayss answers: "Love it best pasta!!!!"
Four exclamation marks are not a critique. "best pasta" is not a workshop note. Rotini supplies the self-doubt; Anayss refuses to help it grow legs. She does not explain why the piece works, correct the artist, or make the moment about herself. She just throws uncomplicated approval across the room hard enough to interrupt the spiral.
That is why the creative recurrence belongs in her biography instead of as a list of pictures. Early on, Anayss helps turn the room into a subject. Later the room keeps turning her back into one. She is maker, subject, and audience across different moments without those jobs being mashed into one fake credit.
Petty Crimes
Dawn Beverage Propaganda. Across three separate early mornings in March and April 2021, Anayss reaches for coffee, tea, wake-up, and good-morning reaction GIFs before a reasonable person's dignity has loaded. This is not enough to sentence her to a literal daily coffee routine. It is absolutely enough to convict her of using hot beverages as dawn reaction grammar.
Feb. 26 Jukebox Possession. When Whiskey becomes a dance/music GIF pile, Anayss does not observe from a safe distance. She keeps feeding it: Las Ketchup, Ricky Martin, ABBA, Mambo No. 5, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, dancing cowboys, and whatever else the room will accept before somebody cuts the aux. One ninety-minute reaction spree is not Favorite Artist canon. It is, however, a perfectly respectable misdemeanor.
