THE CLOCK IS WRONG. SHE FIXES THE CLOCK.
Sye has a recurring talent for making a lot of work sound like two words. In 2021, daylight saving knocked UL's event schedule sideways and she told Staff to be patient while Gabu recalibrated it. In March 2023 the stupid clock tax comes back around, except this time Sye is holding the screwdriver. Her opening incident report is four words: "Forgot time change".
Then she does the part those four words are sitting on top of. Saber gets opened up. Event after event gets retimed. One entry goes in as "22:0"; Saber rejects it. Thirteen seconds later Sye sends "/edit eahmc8 start 22:00", gets the success output, and keeps moving. No apology tour. No attempt to look technically flawless. The schedule is wrong, so the schedule needs fixing.
The batch includes normal Dragon Raja events and one inherited piece of extremely serious communal infrastructure: "Spank Mugs Booty". Snow created that recurring event years earlier; Sye gets the less glamorous 2023 assignment of making sure the ass-spanking still observes daylight saving time. This is what a lived role looks like in UL. Sometimes responsibility is policy. Sometimes responsibility is crawling through somebody else's joke schedule because clocks have betrayed the household again.
When the sweep is done, Sye checks the list and says "I think thats all of them for saber". Hours later she notices Carl did not need the same treatment: "oh Carl's time automatically sync 😮". The small surprise matters. She is not just firing commands until the red text stops; she is watching how two systems behave differently after the repair.
The next morning Gabu asks what happened and guesses daylight saving time. Sye's diagnosis is one word: "Daylight". Three years of Saber history make that exchange funnier and warmer than it looks. Gabu and Sye have both been the person doing the edit and the person asking the other one how or what happened. Nobody gets a permanent Wizard Chair. The useful knowledge moves sideways, and whoever has it this time fixes the plumbing.
That is also why Sye forgetting how to use Saber in 2025 lands so well. The 2023 repair does not turn her into a flawless machine person. It makes the later "i forgot how to uses this bot xD" more recognizably her: competence is something she uses, not something she has to protect as an identity. She can fix the whole clock mess, make a typo in public, correct it, finish the job, and two years later laugh when the commands have fallen out of her head.
LAST ONE IN THE EXPORT, PAT THE ROOM
By 2026 Slice is barely ambient anymore. It still knows what it is. The current archive leaves Sye holding the last three surviving lines: "memory lasp", **"give yall all *pats*", ":catpat:"**.
Nobody schedules a finale. Nobody declares the room dead. Sye just pats the group chat and the export runs out of road.
