BE LIKE WATER. THE CASE IS CLOSED.
On August 15, 2023, Rummy enters one Wall misunderstanding with a surprisingly careful sequence. "Helllooo" softens the opening; "I talked with soMe peoples" says she checked outside her first reaction; then she identifies the problem as a misunderstanding and writes "panda not bullying me".
The parenthetical is the interesting part: "(At least that how Iβm seeing it)". She does not convert her interpretation into omniscience. She leaves room for what she does not know, then becomes much firmer about what the room should do next: "we should be like water and move past it" and there should be "no more comment abt this".
Only after the boundary is set does the joke return: if somebody still insists, DM Ansun, "he my lawyer now-jk" π .
That order matters. The joke is not being used to dodge the conflict. It comes after Rummy has said what she thinks happened, admitted the limit of that reading, and asked everybody to stop feeding the misunderstanding.
The post received twelve heart reactions. That is visible uptake, not a unanimous vote and not a friendship ranking. More importantly, Rummy's own sentence explicitly says Panda was not bullying her in this scene. The archive does not get to reverse her clarification because the alternative story sounds more dramatic.
COUNSEL WOULD LIKE THE REST OF THE CHAT LOG
Rummy has a recurring problem with the Wall's editorial department: not necessarily that the quote is fake, but that prosecution has apparently submitted the fucking excerpt.
The earliest clean rung in the current recovery is January 30, 2022, and counsel is not exactly mounting a heroic defense yet. Cele says the screenshot is bad out of context. Rummy answers:
"yeh yeh out of context it bad but with context it not making it better"
That is an extraordinary opening doctrine: yes, context exists; no, defendant concedes context would not save defendant. Then she drops the evil emote anyway. The Wall has apparently received both the objection and the guilty plea in the same filing.
By December 15, 2023, Rummy has changed legal strategy. Now the missing context is crucial. First comes "bro u need hte context" β lowercase, typo included, because urgency has already outrun spellcheck. Then "THAT WASN'T JUST A RANDOM THINIG". Then, more precisely, "i did not say that randomly". And finally the court receives the explanatory exhibit: "it the bobA bALlS".
She is not yelling I NEVER SAID THAT. She is arguing causation. There was a reason. There was surrounding material. The sentence had habitat. Please stop presenting the wildlife outside its ecosystem.
Eight months later, another Wall moment compresses the same instinct into one procedural objection. Rummy goes "HEY-", sobs, and then produces the cleanest possible brief: "THAT NOT THE FULL CONVO".
The progression is beautiful. 2022: context will not save me. 2023: context absolutely matters and the missing fact is boba balls. 2024: opposing counsel has failed discovery.
The continuity is structural: this is also the woman who, in March 2023, rebuilt UL's birthday calendar month by month and pinned the replacement lists. When Rummy is maintaining a communal record, the record should be complete. When the communal record turns around and starts prosecuting her, pagination becomes a constitutional right.
That does not make her UL's lawyer, archivist, fact-checker, or Commissioner of Missing Context. The underlying screenshots in all three Wall scenes remain visually uninspected, so the site does not decide whether any appeal would have changed the verdict. The archive gives us something better and narrower: a recurring reflex that keeps getting more ambitious.
Rummy does not necessarily deny being in the evidence.
She objects to counsel's edit.
GILLI HAS APPARENTLY BEEN CALLING HER TUMMY FOR YEARS
In 2021 Gilli erupts with "RUMMY TUM TUMMY". Fine. One mutated nickname can be an accident.
Then 2023 gives "We'll miss you Tummy". In 2024: "It never been blue Tummy".
At that point the nickname has tenure. The archive does not need to promote it into Rummy's legal name, canonical alias, or some invented relationship rank. The much better fact is smaller: Gilli kept carrying one relationship-specific mutation of Rummy's name across years, casually enough that the bit did not need reintroduction every time it came back.
RUMMY FAILED ONE BL QUESTION AND THE ROOM INVENTED CONTINUING EDUCATION
April 2021: Rummy does not merely have a recommendation. She has "a whole list of yaoi ready" and can "throw in some pics too". By Christmas Gabu is already telling her she has been "reading too much bl", which she answers with a tiny "noooo...." that is not exactly helping the defense.
June 2022 is when the reputation stops being self-description and becomes room infrastructure. Daya asks for yuri and yaoi recommendations "foor yk... research". Rummy immediately goes **"*i got youu*" and starts with yaoi. Marian tries to save the client β "don't take recommendations from her. they're all cheesy shit" β while Gabu does the opposite and formally-not-formally routes the question straight back to Rummy: "For yaoi I let @phenomenallamb14960 answer"**.
That tiny clash is the reputation in miniature. Nobody is arguing whether Rummy knows BL. They are auditing taste. She has already been accepted as the desk; Marian is filing a quality complaint.
By November 2023 Marian can post another Rummy exhibit under "BL manic strikes again", and Daya follows with "i dont think the BL maniac is the shameful one this time i-". Again, those are their words, not a title the site needs to laminate.
Then July 2024 produces the certification crisis. Tae files the offense in all caps:
"RUMMY GETS A BL SERIES WRONG???? the world is ending"
The inspected screenshot shows the exact problem. Rummy calls one series "DEAR DOOR"; Marian says she never thought she would see the day Rummy got a BL wrong; Rummy realizes it is Roses and Champagne instead. Back on the Wall she immediately begins emergency reputation management: "NAAUUURRR BUT LOOK LOOK I FIX IT RIGHT AWAY" and, one message later, "still safe".
Moon disagrees with the accreditation board.
"Ma'am, I think you you need to re-take the BLING exam"
And because a fake certification is useless without an acronym nobody asked for:
"Boys Love InterNational Global exam"
That is the good part of the whole rail. A private taste becomes a known recommendation habit; the recommendation habit becomes a room expectation; the expectation becomes strong enough that one wrong title is funny because everybody assumes Rummy is supposed to know this shit. Moon does not merely tease the mistake. She invents remedial continuing education.
Nothing in that establishes Rummy's sexuality, and "BL manic", "BL maniac", and "BLING exam" are not offices in the UL org chart. The joke works perfectly without either overclaim. Rummy simply became reliable enough at one extremely specific genre that the room built a fake licensing board around her first visible clerical error.
RUMFECTION IS NOW A PUBLIC-HEALTH PROBLEM
By February 2023, the room has stopped treating Rummy's writing quirks as one person's punctuation problem and started doing epidemiology.
Rich gives us the useful definition: "Rummy spelling infection is spreading fast". The name already circulating around it is Rumfection.
Then Mugs puts the disease into UL's own fourth-year anniversary message beside corpse kidnapping, panic karaoke, music-bot failure, and generalized confusion. The same paragraph celebrates the server's "blasphemous speling skills". The institution cannot spell *spelling* while commemorating its spelling infection. Excellent containment.
March 19 is where the disease finally gets a named transmission scene. Rummy tags Gilli. Gilli admits "I was so confused π", then identifies the pathogen specimen as "It two different dashes LMAO". Cele checks the patient β "Gilliβ¦ is u okay" β and Gilli answers "NO AM LOSING MY MIND LMAO".
Ren diagnoses it immediately: "Rumfection affecting your dashes too".
Cele offers treatment: "want mine Iβll share half my braincell".
Less than an hour later Moon has apparently opened a clinic:
"TIME FOR VACINATION FOR RUMFECTION AND GILLFECTION"
Then, reassuringly:
"It will hurt alittle ~β‘"
The vaccine announcement itself is visibly infected. Public health has failed inside the treatment protocol.
That does not make Rummy objectively bad at spelling, and it does not make every typo she ever typed deliberate Rumfection performance. The archive gives us something much funnier and more specific: the room built a communicable disease out of her writing reputation, then developed symptoms, variants, and a misspelled vaccine.
