On April 11, 2020, Waifu returns an action menu in the Lobby; one second later Snow says he figured the bot would `entertain people stuck in the lobby`.
THE BOTS
HAD JOBS.
Waifu worked the waiting room. The Bouncer ran the front door. Music bots acquired retirement plans, replacements, and interviews. QOTD had a Barista. The calendar survived staff changes. The Archivist got carded.
The job title was only the beginning. Once a machine had a place in the house, UL started handling it with the rest of the vocabulary: desk, shift, replacement, retirement, interview, tip jar.
WAIFU WORKED THE WAITING ROOM.
Somebody opens Waifu's action menu. One second later Snow gives the job description: "and I figured this would entertain people stuck in the lobby".
The export later shows an AI Staff role. That metadata is not a clock. Snow's sentence is the dated evidence.
MEE6 sees Saber enter and says welcome. About 100 seconds later the new arrival establishes its control room and creates a schedule channel.
WELCOME.
GET TO WORK.
THE CALENDAR LEARNS THE HOUSE LANGUAGE.
That same day Snow creates a weekly event literally titled Spank Mugs Booty. Saber stores it as event m1k2w9.
A joke now has recurrence settings. Years later the title survives migration onto another calendar bot.
THE FRONT DESK GETS A NAME. THEN IT CARDS ANOTHER BOT.
By October 17 MEE6 is running the full arrival form: IGN, club, age, role assignment. On October 18 Mugen directly addresses it as @Underlords Stripclub Bouncer.
Six days later Mudae walks in. The Bouncer does not distinguish software from applicant. Mudae gets the form.
A new chicken/boat bot and the Stripclub Bouncer collide over command prefixes. Mugen watches the configuration problem become personnel drama.
POOR BOUNCER,
REPLACED BY A COCK.
Then the new bot gets its job description: "literally functions as a pit boss".
Rythm enters. The Bouncer asks for IGN, club, and age. Seven minutes later Mugen explains the staffing change.
GROOVY IS RETIRING.
RYTHM GETS THE DJ SHIFT.
There is a command prefix. There is a replacement. Staff are reminded to "tip them well!"
THE BOUNCER ONBOARDS THE BARISTA.
The target account is QOTD Bot, nicknamed UL Cafe Barista. MEE6 gives it the same intake script it gives people.
The first surviving Barista prompts begin August 3. Arrival and first preserved shift are separate dates.
A NEW BARISTA BOARDS. A MUSIC BOT INTERVIEWS. THE CALENDAR CHANGES HANDS.
Different systems. Different account IDs. Same house grammar around them.
The Bouncer has already run intake on Pulse when Mugen announces the next step.
NEW MUSIC BOT
COMING FOR INTERVIEW.
"let's see how you do" follows two seconds later. This pass did not recover the verdict, so the site does not invent one.
THE ARCHIVE WALKS THROUGH THE SAME DOOR.
ARCHIVIST enters the server. The front desk recognizes an arrival and runs intake.
Six years after the first machine-to-machine welcome now surfaced, a bot built to preserve UL meets an older bot that still knows what the front door is for.
The machines handled repetition. The humans kept deciding what kind of place the repetition belonged to.
People configured the bots, supplied prompts, maintained schedules, changed tools, named jobs, announced replacements, and decided what any of it meant. The archive does not show software becoming human. It shows UL making software legible by putting it inside the same house vocabulary as everyone else.
On September 22, 2020, MEE6 welcomed Saber in the Lobby; about 100 seconds later Saber set `#saber_control` as its control channel and created `new_schedule`.
On September 22, 2020, Snow created a weekly Saber event literally titled `Spank Mugs Booty`; Saber stored it as event `m1k2w9`.
The full MEE6 newcomer form survives by October 17, 2020; on October 18 Mugen directly addresses MEE6 as `@Underlords Stripclub Bouncer` in the Lobby.
On October 24, 2020, the Bouncer ran the ordinary newcomer intake script on the Mudae bot; Mudae GM receives the same treatment on November 27.
On February 3, 2021, an opening-night command conflict in USS Alabama gets narrated by Mugen as the chicken bot and the Bouncer `fight for dominance`; after the Bouncer is removed from the room she writes `poor bouncer, replaced by a cock` and says the new bot `literally functions as a pit boss`.
On August 26, 2021, the Bouncer welcomed Rythm; seven minutes later Mugen announced Groovy's planned August 30 retirement, welcomed `our newest DJ @Rythm bot`, supplied the command prefix, and told Staff to `remember to tip them well!`.
On August 1, 2022, MEE6 welcomed the QOTD Bot account nicknamed `UL Cafe Barista` and asked it for IGN, club, and age; the surviving QOTD prompt history begins August 3.
On February 18, 2023, MEE6 welcomed a different QOTD bot account and Mugen immediately wrote `New barista on board!`; the 2022 and 2023 account IDs are distinct.
On April 11, 2023, the Bouncer welcomed the Pulse music bot; Mugen then wrote `New music bot coming for interview` and `let's see how you do`.
Carl-bot / Snowden emitted the inherited `Spank Mugs Booty` event title during 2023 schedule traffic, while later archive evidence still shows Saber operating too.
On August 3, 2026, MEE6 welcomed the ARCHIVIST bot to Underlords and asked it for IGN, club, and age for role assignment.
Across these rooms, UL repeatedly gives utilities human-facing job language and then extends that grammar to desks, shifts, mafia ranks, retirement, replacement, interview, and onboarding while humans remain responsible for configuration and meaning.
