THEIR WHOLE DEAL

Rooks is very good at noticing things, caring about people, and then immediately becoming her own exception. She files Wall evidence against herself, gives sensible rest advice while sleeping four or five hours, asks for server distance without closing the relationship door, and can be accused of witchcraft six years later only to answer `DOUBLE WITCH`.

ROOKS STARTS BY TELLING YOU WHO SHE IS

Rooks has been here since the early house was still explaining which room held the whiskey and which one held the BL. Her cleanest surviving introduction is almost aggressively efficient: "Rooks, UnderLords, member uwu". A few months later, after the display-name situation had naturally become a public hazard, she had to do maintenance on herself: "Hello! This is Rooks btw I don’t want my name to confuse you lol".

This is useful because the names absolutely do not calm down. Rookie Cookie becomes Blueberry in Gilli's mouth, then Roo in Anthos's, then "rooberry uwu" in bot-rendered nonsense. Rooks answers one of those mutations with "E-Excuse me" and otherwise keeps moving. The labels wander. The person does not.

She is current Staff now, but the title is almost the least efficient way to explain her. Long before anybody needed a roster shelf, Rooks had already become the person who notices the thing, brings the thing over, remembers the people attached to it, and then somehow ends up incriminating herself in the process.

SHE NOTICES THINGS IN UNNECESSARILY HIGH DEFINITION

Rooks does not seem built for generic affection. Early pet talk comes with names, markings, rescue history, sizes, old-man commentary, and warnings that the cat pictures are about to become everybody else's problem. A group photo of the pets matters because getting everybody to sit still was apparently an operation. "Love my dogs" lands after she has already made it obvious by knowing exactly who each animal is.

The same attention shows up socially. Jackbox gets an immediate "!!!! YOU GOT JACKBOX" and "Omg I love those games"; later, the memory is not just that she likes Jackbox, but that it has been a while since she played it with everyone. Birthday uncertainty produces the extremely Rooks solution "Sooooo we’ll just say happy birthday each day till we get it right". If the date is unclear, apparently affection can simply continue until administration catches up.

Even the quieter Rooks/Lilly material works this way. On one Wall exhibit the two of them keep choosing the same little pout-family reactions over and over until the emoji picker starts functioning like dialogue. Nobody needs to type a friendship thesis. They keep reaching for the same increasingly specific face. That is enough.

SHE SHOWS THE DRAFT

Rooks's creative instinct has the same useful lack of preciousness. In September 2020 she promises that whatever they are making will wind up in the Louvre. A month later she announces "I'm gonna share my painting so far in #🎨│the-louvre" and then follows it with the beautifully naked request "critique me".

Not *thoughts?* Not a compliment trap with an emergency exit. "critique me" hands the unfinished thing over and explicitly gives the room permission to push on it. That makes her high-definition attention reciprocal: Rooks does not only inspect everybody else's little details. She can put her own work on the table before it is finished and tolerate being looked at back.

The surrounding response matters because this is not an artist dramatically begging an empty auditorium for suffering. Anthos is already asking to see what gets made; Mugs reacts enthusiastically to the promise that it will be posted. Rooks is bringing process into a room where people are expecting her to bring things. Whatever title anybody did or did not have, the lived role is simpler: make something, show it before the varnish dries, let the idiots have opinions.

THE ROOM KEEPS ACCUSING HER. SHE KEEPS IMPROVING THE CASE.

Ren tries to help once with "Rooks is INOCENT just like me". Ansun objects immediately: "rooks is NOT".

Rooks could stop there. Instead: "Well, my mind isnt innocent at least". Ansun brings up the search history. Later Ren says "Rooks steal us all".

Rooks: "Yes".

A month later Cookie declares "NONE OF U INNOCENT" and Rooks files another appeal: "IM INNOCENT". The room reacts exactly as a jury should when the defendant has already submitted contradictory exhibits, so Rooks narrows the claim to "My body is innocent not my mind".

This is one of her most stable social reflexes. Rooks is not merely somebody the room teases. She collaborates with the teasing. She objects just enough to create a second line, performs embarrassment just long enough for somebody to push again, then supplies the caveat that ruins her own defense. Give her a stupid charge and there is a fair chance she will make it harder to dismiss.

SCREENSHOT JAIL EVENTUALLY HIRES THE DEFENDANT

The Wall turns that reflex into a reputation. Rooks starts posting her own evidence with captions like "Shaming myself again". At some point being caught is no longer enough; she is carrying the exhibit into court herself.

Then other people start planning around it. By March 2021 Mugen sees something screenshot-worthy and decides she does not need to rush because "rooks wouldnt miss this for the world". Rooks answers "uwu cant hide from me" and posts again.

That tiny "uwu" is basically the whole character problem. The line is mock-menacing, cute, and completely aware of the reputation it is accepting. Nobody formally appointed Rooks Keeper of Everyone's Bad Decisions. Repetition did the job. She catches enough things that people race her, expect her, or simply assume coverage has already been handled.

The funny part is that the same skill points in both directions. Rooks can preserve somebody else's nonsense and file her own. There is no safe side of the camera because she apparently refuses to recognize conflict of interest.

CARE COMES WITH A VERY FUNNY SELF-EXEMPTION CLAUSE

Rooks can be extremely sensible when another person is the one in front of her. In early 2021 she explains that people are worried because healthy rest matters. The concern is practical rather than theatrical: sleep is a thing a body actually needs, so take it seriously.

Then the conversation turns toward Rooks and she admits she is personally operating on roughly four or five hours.

Of course.

That contradiction is not hypocrisy so much as ordinary Rooks-shaped humanity. She can identify the sane rule perfectly and still be standing outside it with a clipboard. The person telling somebody to rest is also capable of winding up in assignment hell later with "3/8 pages done" on an eight-page paper. Good advice does not confer immunity from your own scheduling crimes.

Her care also has a useful boundary-setting streak. During spring-semester classes she tells the server she needs some "me time". It is not framed as a divorce from the group. She reduces server presence, keeps DMs open, and ends with "I love you all". The limit is specific enough to be real without turning distance into rejection.

That distinction matters when the stable Rooks identity later comes through a fresh automated welcome. Gilli does not treat her like a stranger; she says "Roles assigned hunbun uwu". A little over two minutes later Rooks is in Whiskey answering "thank you my love". Whatever happened at the Discord door, the relationship did not reboot from factory settings.

SHE CAN LEAVE A ROOM WITHOUT PRETENDING EVERYBODY INSIDE STOPPED MATTERING

Rooks is not the character who proves continuity by being visibly present every day forever. The record gets quieter. School exists. Adult life exists. Server presence changes. What survives is the way she handles distance: say what capacity you have, leave the human door open, and come back without requiring everybody to re-audition for familiarity.

That is why the probable leave-and-re-entry cycle is more interesting as relationship texture than as a technical Discord mystery. The automated welcome says arrival. Gilli's "hunbun" says recognition. Rooks's "my love" says the emotional temperature never went back to zero.

Current Staff belongs at the end of that history, not at the beginning as a retroactive explanation. Rooks was already doing the things that make her useful around people—paying attention, catching details, keeping a bit moving, caring in practical ways, knowing when she needs distance—before the present-day roster label could summarize any of it.

TASTE IS USUALLY ATTACHED TO A MEMORY OR A PERSON

Rooks's K-pop talk has the same relational quality as Jackbox. In January 2021 she talks about the group that got her into K-pop leaving its agency. She understands why they would leave and is still sad about what that might mean for making music together. Later Jackson/GOT7 posting makes GOT7 the likely group behind that earlier feeling.

The point is not to staple a permanent FAVORITE GROUP badge to her forehead. It is that Rooks remembers taste through attachment. Jackbox is a game she played with everyone. A K-pop group matters because it opened the door into the genre and because the possibility of less music together feels like a loss even when the members' decision makes sense.

She is good at holding both halves at once: people are allowed to move, and you are still allowed to miss the shape things used to have.

PETTY CRIMES

Rooks once hit Discord's 100-server join limit, which is an incredible administrative way to discover that perhaps one has collected enough buildings.

One day she managed strawberry bingsu and strawberry boba in the same afternoon and reported both as devoured. This establishes a highly committed strawberry-dessert day and, frankly, that is enough paperwork for one snack.

She talks about Borderlands 3, shows interest in Monster Hunter Rise, and had one tattoo by early 2021. Her mother's household also included a Jackson chameleon. Her mother's. We are not laundering somebody else's lizard onto Rooks's pet roster.

There is also the eight-page assignment stalled at "3/8 pages done", because every character with good advice deserves at least one receipt where the advice is standing across the room judging them.

And then there is "Bok bok I have a glock", which remains exactly what it was in context: poultry-themed joke language. Rooks has enough actual petty crimes. Nobody needs to turn a chicken bit into a background check.

SIX YEARS LATER, THE COURT REOPENS IMMEDIATELY

By the 2026 reunion, Rooks has an adult-life update that is almost suspiciously normal: married now, dog acquired, years have happened.

Then she mentions being left-handed.

Moon: "WITCHHHH".

Rooks: "DOUBLE WITCH".

There she is.

The content of the accusation has changed. The move has not. Somebody hands Rooks a ridiculous premise and she improves the case against herself instead of escaping it. Six years after Ren tried to defend her innocence, Rooks is still apparently unwilling to let a weak prosecution remain weak.

That is why the reunion works as continuity instead of nostalgia cosplay. Rooks does not come back pretending nothing happened. She is married. There is a dog. The game that originally organized everybody is long past its center. She can feel the nostalgia and still sound immediately like herself.

Rooks is affectionate without needing constant attendance, observant without becoming solemn, sensible enough to tell somebody to sleep and chaotic enough to need the reminder herself, embarrassed enough to protest and mischievous enough to submit Exhibit B. Staff is true. The better biography is that she keeps leaving people something usable: a screenshot, a detail, an open DM, a nickname correction, a "my love", or one extra witch count nobody asked for.

SHOW RECEIPTS

Rooks is currently filed under Staff in the Mugs-confirmed living roster.

Mugs-confirmed living roster

Rooks, Rookie Cookie, .poogie., and Rookie Cookie uwu resolve to the same person in current project canon.

Mugs-confirmed identity mapping

On May 17, 2020, Rooks introduced themself in the Lobby with `Rooks, UnderLords, member uwu`.

Eight minutes after Rooks' May 17, 2020 Lobby introduction, pooled Deleted User account 456226577798135808 directly mentioned Rooks, said `I gave you permissions! Thank you for joining us bb!`, and explained that Whiskey Room was general chat, Slice of Life was for IRL photos/chat, the Louvre was for art, and Grind BL was for boy love.

On September 1, 2020, the .poogie. / Rookie Cookie uwu account explicitly told the room, `Hello! This is Rooks btw I don’t want my name to confuse you lol`.

Between August 30 and October 1, 2020, Rooks' room-name trail mutates in public: Gilli directly calls `@Rookie Cookie uwu` `blueberry`; Anthos later answers Rooks with `issok roo`; then Eli's response to Anthos's `kiss @Rookie Cookie uwu` command renders the target as `rooberry uwu`.

On October 1, 2020, after one generated interaction again rendered Rooks as `rooberry uwu`, Rooks answered four seconds later `E-Excuse me`; additional generated interactions in the same session continued using the rooberry display.

On September 18, 2020, Ansun asked `rooks join vc?` and then said `anthos and i are talking`; Rooks answered `AHHHHH OKAY`, and Anthos immediately wrote `rooks i need to be held`.

On August 24, 2020, Ren wrote `Rooks is INOCENT just like me`; Ansun immediately answered `rooks is NOT`. Minutes later Rooks conceded `Well, my mind isnt innocent at least`, and Ansun replied `your search history says otherwise`.

On September 30, 2020, Cookie declared `NONE OF U INNOCENT`; Rooks answered `IM INNOCENT`, received `BRUH` from a pooled Deleted User and an eyes ping from Gilli, then amended the defense to `My body is innocent not my mind`.

On November 6, 2020, Rooks posted an attachment to the Wall captioned `Shaming myself again`; Ren answered `LMAOO`.

On March 13, 2021, Rooks posted an attachment to the Wall. Mugen true-replied to that exact post, `I was gonna ss it lmao then I thought nah rooks wouldnt miss this for the world`; Rooks answered `uwu cant hide from me`, posted a second attachment, and Baby Lyssa replied `OH MY GOD`.

Rooks shows repeated Jackbox enthusiasm across the archive: on August 17, 2020 they reacted `!!!! YOU GOT JACKBOX` / `Omg I love those games`; on May 11, 2021, after being invited to the next game, Rooks said it had been a while since they played Jackbox with everyone.

In September and October 2020, Rooks explicitly treated the Louvre as a place to bring unfinished creative work: she promised to post what they were making there, announced `I'm gonna share my painting so far in #🎨│the-louvre`, and then asked the room `critique me`.

In January 2021, Rooks told another member that people were worried because healthy rest mattered, then admitted Rooks was personally running on roughly four to five hours of sleep.

In January 2021, Rooks told the server they needed some `me time` during spring-semester classes, kept DMs open, and ended the message with `I love you all`.

On May 9, 2021, after a fresh automated welcome for the stable Rooks account, Gilli wrote `Roles assigned hunbun uwu`; a little over two minutes later Rooks thanked Gilli in Whiskey with `thank you my love`.

On August 14, 2026, Mugen remembered that the last major life update she knew was Rooks getting engaged; Rooks answered that they are now married and have a dog. In the same reunion burst, Rooks saying they are left-handed prompted Moon's `WITCHHHH`, which Rooks upgraded to `DOUBLE WITCH`.
