RETIRED OFFICERS

Suzi

Consigliere · Founder · Retired Officer

THEIR WHOLE DEAL

Founder and retired Consigliere whose intimidating first impression apparently died from ordinary exposure: forgotten bathroom drinks, four-hour alien conversations, memorable laughter, smoked meat, a quarantine-era fear that the house might not last, and the recurring problem of trying to play two games, text UL, and obtain dinner with one pair of hands.

# Suzimasu

Suzimasu is one of the five people at the beginning of Underlords and later becomes the historical Consigliere / Senior Advisor. This sounds imposing right up until the person actually enters the room.

Suzi is also Mob, BAPE, and "mob_bape": the guy trying to keep Yakuza 0, Dragon Raja, UL chat, and dinner alive at the same time; the supposed scary person whose reputation gets taken out by a forgotten bathroom drink; the smoked-meat enthusiast who can be summoned with BBQ shorthand; and somebody whose laugh and alien conversations were apparently memorable enough to survive years in other people's heads.

The title is real. The human underneath it is much harder to keep dignified.

THE SCARY-GUY BRAND DID NOT SURVIVE FRIENDSHIP

Several people independently remember an early version of Mob that was quieter, scarier, or simply danger.

Ren's first impression is exactly that: "I sensed danger in you". By the time she is answering the same prompt in 2022, the internal picture has traveled all the way to playful older-brother energy — the kind of person she imagines picking her up and spinning her around until she is dizzy. It is a spectacular brand collapse.

Tae's version is even less respectful. Mob was scary until he left a drink in the bathroom and forgot it.

That is apparently all it took. Not a grand confession. Not a secret soft side revealed under moonlight. A beverage left behind in the wrong room. The intimidating man was defeated by object permanence.

Sota remembers something completely different: an all-night conversation, recalled as roughly four hours, spent talking about aliens. What sticks in his present-tense impression is Mob's laugh. Dayadream remembers the earlier Mob as quieter. Four people come at the same person from different angles and land in roughly the same place: first impression had edges; familiarity made him ridiculous and easy to know.

That contradiction is much more useful than calling Suzimasu "intimidating but soft." The scary image did not get replaced by a generic sweetheart. It got eaten alive by absentminded drink logistics, alien monologues, physical-playfulness jokes, and a laugh somebody remembered.

BBQ IS APPARENTLY A CONTACT NAME

Mugen does not need to ask whether Mob likes barbecue. She can simply tag him "Bbq bb".

Mob's answer is that he will be right later because he is smoking beef brisket.

A month later a food prompt gets the less restrained version:

SMOKED MEAT ANYKIND GIBBBB

There is no elegant culinary persona hiding here. There is smoke, meat, volume, and immediate willingness to accept basically any configuration of the first two. Ricochet later associates Mob with sushi in a group food prompt too, which makes food less like a one-off answer and more like one of the ordinary ways people remember him.

For a person whose early social silhouette could read dangerous, the recurring food lane is wonderfully domestic. Apparently one route from danger to guy we know runs directly through brisket.

Then July 2021 contributes a food decision with significantly worse public relations. Suzi drops a video, labels the filing "EXPLAINATION" and "Me this afternoon", and Baby Lyssa immediately announces she is googling "who tf puts mustard on watermelon". Suzi's response is not retreat. It is "Look up Lizzo Eating it lmao".

The video pixels are still uninspected, but the surrounding conversation makes the basic trend read pretty hard to miss: Suzi had apparently spent part of the afternoon trying the mustard-on-watermelon thing and was now submitting supporting case law.

Then Tofu makes the tactical mistake of widening the argument from *mustard on watermelon* to watermelon itself.

Watermelon is gross, fight me

Suzi answers:

I’m not even gonna dignify that

Tofu repeats the charge. Suzi reduces the defense to "No". The man will apparently put mustard on the fruit and still draw the line at slandering the fruit. Culinary judgment is flexible. Watermelon loyalty is constitutional.

FOUR THINGS OPEN AND DINNER

Early 2020 catches the same contradiction before anybody has enough history to name it.

Suzi is trying to play Yakuza 0, play Dragon Raja, text UL, and get dinner at the same time.

Yeah my bad currently trying to play yakuza 0 and dragon and text you guys lol

Nineteen seconds later:

And get my dinner on

Founder status did not come with additional hands.

It is a tiny scene, but it is exactly why Suzimasu works better as a person than as a plaque. One of the five names in the origin story is not standing in dramatic lighting thinking about legacy. He has too many tabs open and food needs to happen.

THE ROOM HAD ALREADY INVENTED A VOICE FOR HIM

The night before the multitasking confession, Ren hears Suzi and immediately says:

Bro suzi sound so different of what I imagined

The fun part is not what the voice actually sounded like. Ren does not give us a reliable adjective for that. The fun part is that there was already an imagined Suzi strong enough to have an expected soundtrack.

That is early familiarity in miniature. Text alone had given Ren enough of a person to build a voice for him. Reality then walked in using a different one.

Years later, the first-impressions prompt shows the same process at a larger scale: people build a version of Mob, then living around Mob forces revisions. Dangerous becomes bathroom-drink idiot. Quiet becomes alien-conversation memory. Somebody who once felt hard to read becomes somebody whose laugh gets filed away.

HE WORRIED THE HOUSE WOULD END. THEN HE CAME HOME.

Mob tells on himself early. In April 2020 he drops into Lobby with "I never check in so ya know w/pat @Snow". Gilli mirrors the pat back to him two minutes later. The sentence is funny because the care arrives inside a confession about his own low-frequency habits: hello, I am terrible at hello, please accept one pat.

Two weeks later the joke gives way to a much more vulnerable sentence:

Imma miss y’all when quarantine over

D.I./Jonith's answer is almost offended on the room's behalf:

Bruh, you think people here just cuz of quarantine?

Mob is one of the people who says the impermanence fear out loud while UL is still young enough for the fear to make perfect sense. The world has shoved everybody indoors; a new group has become important quickly; what happens when ordinary life resumes? The line is not a philosophical thesis. It is somebody already attached enough to pre-grieve the possibility that the circumstance holding everyone together might expire.

By June the same stable account can surface with a tiny "Hey" and Mugen immediately answers "heey suzi welcome back!". Gilli follows with "Suziiiii". Nobody needs the alias decoder or a reintroduction. Whatever gap preceded the greeting, the social recognition is sitting there ready before Mob has said much of anything.

Then May 2021 gives the April fear a wonderfully literal answer. The Stripclub Bouncer fires the ordinary intake script at the same Mob | BAPE account. The machinery behaves like an arrival. Ren does not.

UwU Sushiii

Mob answers with an emote.

Welcome home~

Then Ren gives him the server tour link and, rather than making reorientation embarrassing, admits the place is now big enough that even she still gets lost around here.

That little admission is doing real social work. Ren recognizes him as returning house-company and then removes the stupidest possible barrier to return: the feeling that somebody should already know the new floor plan. He is remembered without being expected to be perfectly current.

The exact gap is still missing. We do not know when or why Mob left, how long he was gone, or what his formal status was on every side of the doorway. What the people do tell us is better for the biography anyway. In April 2020 Mob worries that the bond might end when quarantine does. Thirteen months later the same account crosses the server door again and gets "Welcome home~" instead of an introduction.

He feared impermanence. Then, at least once, he came back and tested the answer.

HE KEEPS WALKING INTO SCREENSHOT COURT

The Wall gives Suzi another excellent way to ruin his own intimidating-person brand: he keeps volunteering for the institution that will later prosecute him.

In September 2020 he is already saying "Trying to win the wall of shame awards". A month later, when people start sharing evidence, Suzi has two fresh images ready under "Since were sharing" and "This happened today lmao". That is not somebody being dragged unwillingly into screenshot culture. He is feeding it.

The same room also catches how fast the register can change. Ren jokes, then turns the joke inward with "I look like a spaghetti noodle". Suzi answers "Aww it’s okay @RΣN" and "I still wuv you"; Ren comes straight back with "Aweee suziiii". Nothing ceremonial happens. The person helping run the embarrassment economy notices when the self-roast has gone soft and shifts into reassurance without leaving the conversation.

The mustard-watermelon disaster belongs to the same operating system. Suzi files the evidence, explains the trend, and then litigates Tofu's slander of watermelon itself. By June 2022 Snow tags Mob, drops another sealed exhibit, and Suzi answers less than a minute later with "I can explainnnnnnn" and jail emojis. The exact screenshot charge stays sealed, but the posture is unmistakable: defendant mode activated.

That is a much better contradiction than innocent versus freaky. Suzi can act scandalized, become defensive, prosecute somebody else, submit his own nonsense, and still walk voluntarily back into the blast radius. He is not standing outside Screenshot Court complaining about the institution. He keeps showing up with paperwork.

Petty Crimes

  • Lost at least one scary-person credibility point because Tae remembered him forgetting a drink in the bathroom.
  • Can apparently sustain an alien conversation long enough for Sota to remember it years later as an all-night / four-hour event.
  • Responds to food discourse with "SMOKED MEAT ANYKIND GIBBBB". Subtlety was not invited to dinner.
  • Was directly addressable as "Bbq bb" and immediately justified the nickname by being busy smoking brisket.
  • Apparently tried the mustard-on-watermelon trend, then immediately refused to dignify Tofu's claim that watermelon itself is gross. Experimental methodology: questionable. Fruit loyalty: absolute.
  • Has been documented trying to play two games, text UL, and acquire dinner at once.
  • Ren once had such a specific imagined Suzi that hearing the real voice produced an immediate mismatch report.
  • Has personally announced "I never check in" and still managed to be welcomed back by name anyway. Terrible attendance strategy; apparently excellent retention.
  • Was "Trying to win the wall of shame awards" before later needing the defense "I can explainnnnnnn". Extremely avoidable legal exposure.

Suzimasu's senior history matters because people trusted him with real responsibility. What makes him unmistakably Suzi is that none of that responsibility sterilized the person underneath it. He could be remembered as dangerous and then become the guy whose bathroom drink ruined the mystique. He could be a founder and still be losing a four-way scheduling war against Yakuza, Raja, Discord, and dinner. He could worry that a young group would evaporate when quarantine ended and later walk back into a server that greeted him as home. He could apparently test mustard on watermelon and then turn around and defend watermelon's honor from Tofu. He can contribute to Screenshot Court, reassure somebody mid-roast, and then plead his own case when the camera turns. He could carry Consigliere history while friends remembered brisket, aliens, laughter, and the precise moment the scary-person act stopped working.

SHOW RECEIPTS

The early lobby archive directly resolves the display identity Mob | BAPE to Suzimasu through a bot interaction naming the recipient Suzimasu.

On April 6, 2020, Mob told Snow `I never check in so ya know w/pat`; Gilli mirrored the pat back to Mob two minutes later. On June 14 the same stable account surfaced again and Mugen answered `heey suzi welcome back!`, followed by Gilli's `Suziiiii`.

On April 14, 2020, Ren/RV said Suzi sounded `so different` from what Ren had imagined, preserving an early moment when the voice behind the text-built persona surprised the room.

On April 15, 2020, the stable `mob_bape` account explained that he was simultaneously trying to play Yakuza 0, play Dragon Raja, text the UL room, and get dinner.

On April 22, 2020, Mob said `Imma miss y’all when quarantine over`; D.I./Jonith answered `Bruh, you think people here just cuz of quarantine?`. On May 19, 2021, the same stable `mob_bape` / Mob | BAPE account received a fresh Bouncer welcome and Ren greeted the return with `Welcome home~`, then directly gave Mob the UL Discord tour link and joked that even Ren still got lost in the expanded server.

On May 19, 2021, the Bouncer welcomed the same stable `mob_bape` / Mob | BAPE account as though it were an arrival; Ren immediately greeted `UwU Sushiii`, then `Welcome home~` and `You know you ways` before routing the familiar account through the server tour.

On January 14, 2022, Mugen directly addressed Mob as `Bbq bb`; Mob replied that he was smoking beef brisket. On February 23, Mob answered a food prompt with `SMOKED MEAT ANYKIND GIBBBB`.

On July 2, 2021, Suzimasu posted `video0.mp4`, labeled the filing `EXPLAINATION` / `Me this afternoon`, told Baby Lyssa to look up Lizzo eating it after Lyssa searched `who tf puts mustard on watermelon`, and then immediately argued with Tofu when Tofu called watermelon gross.

Across 2020–2022, Suzimasu repeatedly entered the Wall's embarrassment game from both sides: `Trying to win the wall of shame awards`, filing fresh receipts with `Since were sharing`, pivoting into `Aww it’s okay` / `I still wuv you` when Ren's self-roast turned tender, and later answering a Snow-tagged uninspected filing with `I can explainnnnnnn`.

On July 2, 2022, several peers independently described an intimidating first impression of Mob that familiarity had dismantled: Dayadream remembered him as quieter; Ren said she initially `sensed danger` but now imagined a playful big-brother kind of role; Tae said Mob was scary until he forgot a drink in a bathroom; and Sota remembered an all-night/four-hour alien conversation and Mob's laugh.
