Eos is the kind of person who can change the name on the paperwork without making the room feel like a new room. In December 2020 the same account comes through the Lobby as EnyoCal, says UL club, gets a cheerful "welcome enyo!" from Mugs, and gets sent toward the server map. In January the Bouncer catches the account again; this time the answer is Eos, Deviations, 18+.
Whatever happened on the game side between those two doors is still its own question. Socially, though, Eos keeps moving through Whiskey and the Wall with very little ceremony. By 2022, when Two Truths, One Lie asks for an incriminating personal fact, "Gilli is my reason for joining underlords" is one of the truths. Mashed potatoes are the lie. Important distinction.
LOW-CEREMONY PEOPLE PERSON
Eos's warmth tends to arrive sideways. Milo talks about cutting back and Eos immediately goes for the supportive insult: "You finally limiting yourself, u whale ... good". Milo's answer sixteen seconds later is basically *shut up, we are not discussing this*. That finally is doing a lot of work. Eos has apparently been watching the problem long enough to notice the change; approval just happens to be wrapped in a hammer emote and public slander.
Ren gets the softer version. "want q cookie?" gets an immediate "yeeee", followed by cookie and nom emotes like this is a perfectly valid meal transaction. Two days later Ren drops something into the room and Eos comes back with "supa cuteeeee ... tank uuu @RΣN". The point is not the mystery image. It is how easy the exchange is. Ren offers a tiny thing; Eos receives it at full volume; nobody needs a speech.
Gilli has the same shorthand in a different register. In June she tags Eos with "Also this anime that we never finished LOL". Eos answers "LMAO". No title, no recap, no explanation for the audience. Gilli can point at unfinished shared history and Eos knows exactly which abandoned crime scene she means.
That makes the 2022 Gilli answer feel less like trivia and more like the continuation of a relationship already comfortable enough to live in callbacks. Gilli is the stated reason Eos joined. Later, Gilli is also the person who can dig up the anime we never finished like this is a household debt.
And apparently the room learns the same trick. Ren posts an image, says "The Nyan is back", then sends only "@Eos". Forty-one seconds later Eos is back with "yuussssssss" and frog reactions. A few months later Ansun/Sou posts another image under "no context eos". By February 2023 Rummy can throw a JPEG into the Wall with nothing but "@Eos" and get Eos's disappointed-clown reaction thirty seconds later.
The images are not the interesting part. The missing exposition is. Three different people, across almost two years, apparently expect Eos to catch the social packet with almost no wrapper. Eos once supplied the philosophy personally — "no context is needed wym" — and the room seems to have treated that less like a one-off line and more like an API specification. This is not intimacy by spreadsheet. It is the smaller, better thing: people know Eos can be dropped into the middle of a bit without everybody rebuilding the runway first.
REAL DRAMA IS WEIRD. FAKE DRAMA IS CONTENT.
The funniest thing about Eos's taste for theatrical chaos is how unimpressed they are when the mess is real and nearby. On April 29, talking about school fights, Eos describes the operating procedure as basically see weird behavior, think "ok weirdos...", wonder "what kinda school am I in? A weird one", leave, forget about it. A few minutes later they are still baffled that hair-pulling is apparently enough to make an entire class abandon the room to watch: "Whats so interesting about pull-hair fights ...? Idek".
That makes the Discord version hit differently. Eos can ask for a hug "before I kill somebody", request permission to murder a fictional emperor, put Marian through Screenshot Court, get prosecuted back, die four times in one reaction, and keep treating the whole thing like social furniture. Actual school spectacle gets penguin-glasses disbelief. Shared-room theater gets participation.
It is not that Eos is secretly a conflict junkie or secretly above the nonsense. The distinction is more specific and more useful: real stupid drama is exhausting; deliberately stupid drama can be a toy. Hair-pulling across the classroom? Why is everybody watching. Panda prosecution with a known cast and reversible chairs? Fine, hand over the gavel.
There is a second contradiction sitting in the same week. Eos says "Im just stupid in english" on April 28. The next morning they are almost done with computer science and waiting impatiently for June. Earlier, they had offered to throw out any "big brain" ideas they happened to have and, six minutes later, announced "i dunwanna read all that". Capability and self-mockery coexist with zero interest in polishing an impressive persona. Eos can be near a technical finish line and still refuse to cosplay as The Smart Person in the group chat.
TOO VANILLA, UNFORTUNATELY STILL COMPLICIT
Marian/Panda keeps calling Eos too vanilla for proper Wall prosecution. This would be a much cleaner reputation if Eos would stop occasionally filing the paperwork personally.
In May 2021 Eos tags Marian with "You asked for it" and drops material onto the Wall. Marian answers "FUCK". Two days later Marian announces that, even if he has to shame himself in the process, he is getting Eos onto the Wall; Eos replies "im gonna strangle you". Nobody here is behaving like a stranger.
Then June removes Marian as the engine entirely. Eos posts "Untitled.png" with "gonna just put myself here and head out-". Nobody summoned them. Nobody tagged them. Gilli laughs, Marian smirks, Ren wheezes. The defendant has apparently walked into court carrying the exhibit.
Not every Marian/Eos exchange needs a prosecution file. On June 28 Marian simply tags "@Eos good enough?" with an attachment. Fifty-three seconds later Eos answers "Beautiful handwriting". We do not need the unseen image to turn that into something grander. The relationship is already more lived-in because Marian can ask for Eos's opinion on a small thing and get a small, immediate piece of approval back.
July makes the contradiction explicit. Marian says Eos is too vanilla to shame him. Eos proceeds to post material, then admits "Debating on sending more". There is the restraint: Eos actually pauses at the line. Gilli, who apparently sees moral hesitation as a technical problem, supplies "@Eos donit". The line turns out to be porous.
When somebody else owns the filing, however, due process becomes suddenly sacred. By September Eos gets caught saying something Wall-worthy, laughs first, answers "WHYYY", insists "I just randomly said it, god damn it", and then later posts another image anyway. Marian escalates in October by threatening a new shame post every hour until Eos cleans a bag. Eos fires "WHYYYY" and "TELL ME WHY" within seconds. A few hours later another Marian post lands; Eos answers with ":Fat_Wheeze:" and then checks the clock: "Its been 3 hours".
That last line ruins the defense beautifully. Eos can be genuinely embarrassed by the prosecution and still become one of the people auditing whether prosecution is on schedule. The protest is not the opposite of participation. Half the time it *is* the participation.
By November Marian is reduced to "self shaming, cause eos is too vanilla". By February 2022 he is asking why Eos is getting him shamed, and Eos has the deeply dignified explanation that they typed in the wrong account.
This is why the pairing works better as a relationship than a list of Wall incidents. Marian keeps trying to turn Eos into an accomplice; Eos can object at full volume, laugh at the follow-up, and stay in the room long enough to become part of the machinery anyway. The restraint is real. So is the complicity. Each one makes the other funnier.
The room eventually starts recognizing the dynamic without needing either of them to explain it. Ansun calls Eos Marian's "panda caretaker" after one Wizard101 panda detour. Rich later tells Eos it may be time to "punish a panda", and Eos answers "yep.... @Marian Kage cmere". It is house language, not an actual job description. The important part is that other people already know which two idiots belong in the sentence.
THE CARETAKER JOKE HAS THE CARE GOING BOTH DIRECTIONS
The Wall makes it very easy to remember Eos as the person assigned to Panda containment. Daycare is where that version stops being enough.
October 31, 2021: Panda is explaining why people should date, and his example has all the subtlety of a thrown appliance:
"like how much i love eos"
That could have remained another loud relationship joke. It does not.
By January, Panda says he kind of wants to keep playing a shared game but does not want to continue without Eos. That changes the verb. Eos is no longer merely the person other people call when a panda requires discipline. Panda is considering Eos's presence before deciding whether the shared activity is even worth continuing.
Then the relationship keeps generating future-shaped nonsense: UL marriage language, Paris, moving, gifts. The furniture is theatrical; the recurring choice of Eos is not.
By March Panda dedicates a song and says he wants to sing it for Eos if his voice gets stronger. That is a tiny vulnerable future tense hidden inside the bit: *if I get better at this, I want to give the improved version to you.*
Eos answers one flirt with:
"you stole my heart a long time ago"
and returns the affection through blush/hug reactions.
This does not turn the public page into an offline relationship-status investigation. The archive has romantic-style UL language; it does not have a license to invent legal marriage, exclusivity, sexuality, cohabitation, or present-day status.
The person-level correction is cleaner anyway. Care in this dyad is not one-directional. Eos can be called Panda's caretaker while Panda is also the one waiting, considering whether to continue without Eos, imagining shared futures for the joke, and trying to make something for Eos. Prosecutor and defendant were already swapping chairs. Apparently caretaker and recipient are movable furniture too.
That makes Eos's low-ceremony warmth much more complete. They do not need to become a different, softer character for affection to land. The same person who can answer a cookie with "yeeee", fandom rage with "Permission to kill sovieshit now???", and Screenshot Court with "TELL ME WHY" can also leave "you stole my heart a long time ago" standing in the room without immediately filing a motion to dismiss it.
DEAD, DED, STILL HERE
Eos's reaction language has a flair for theatrical death. On May 2, 2021, exhaustion becomes "so tired that i am a dead corpse". Mugs answers with "cheers-to-our-pretty-corpses" — Eos says *a* corpse, Mugs replies with *our* corpses — and less than half an hour later Eos is back as "this ded corpse always around for the taking".
That tiny pronoun shift is very UL: one person arrives dramatically dead and somebody immediately makes the condition communal. Eos accepts the toe tag fast enough to start using it back.
Four months later two wheeze emotes end in "dedddd". This time it is reaction punctuation rather than another formal corpse declaration. Same vocabulary, lighter use: when the room finishes Eos off socially, apparently four d's will do.
Years later UL will be making resurrection jokes about the whole server. Eos does not need to be the inventor of that language to fit comfortably inside the family resemblance. The charm is smaller: dying in chat was already a perfectly normal way for Eos to remain present.
Petty Crimes
Will personally file the evidence, then demand due process when somebody else finds evidence. June gives "gonna just put myself here and head out-". October gives "TELL ME WHY" followed later by "Its been 3 hours". Eos is apparently allowed to be defendant, filer, and court stenographer as long as nobody asks for consistency.
Apparently "@Eos" + unexplained JPEG is a complete sentence. Ren, Ansun, and Rummy all test variations of the protocol; Eos keeps answering instead of asking where the rest of the message went.
Eos was staring at the computer-science finish line in April 2021 and had absolutely no interest in pretending patience was a virtue: "Computer science. I almost done", an expected June graduation, then "i dun wanna wait more". Add "Im just stupid in english", "if i have "big brain" ideas ill just say em XD", and "i dunwanna read all that", and the pattern gets even better. Being capable is apparently acceptable. Performing Serious Smart Person for the chat is not required.
Reaction vocabulary is communal property until Eos says otherwise. Korea posts frog reactions in Whiskey; Eos arrives with "dont mind me taking that frog". This is not theft in any meaningful legal system. It is, however, exactly the energy of seeing a good emote in the group chat and quietly adding it to your personal arsenal.
Eos also appears to have had beef with Sovieshu from *The Remarried Empress*. The sequence begins with "Hug me ... before I kill somebody" and ends minutes later with "Permission to kill sovieshit now???". This is fandom rage, not a threat assessment. Somebody please give Eos the hug and remove the fictional emperor from the premises.
Genshin gets the same economy of explanation. One Wall post comes with "Context: childe boss fight.............. @Marian Kage" and apparently Eos considers the case brief complete. Childe. Boss fight. Marian. Several dots of spiritual damage. You know enough.
And finally: in a game built specifically to force personal truths out of people, "I like mashed potatoes" was the lie. Gilli being the reason Eos joined UL was not. Potatoes lost to relationship lore. Brutal.
