MUGS GIVES HIM A MAP. THE MAP IMMEDIATELY LOSES.
June 26, 2021. Bishop reaches the Lobby paperwork. Mugs checks the one visible threshold she actually needs, gets the answer, assigns the role, and hands over the server map.
Two minutes and fourteen seconds later, the next surfaced Bishop beat in Whiskey is:
"I get lost easily"
This is not a technical reply to the map message, so nobody gets to forge a Discord arrow for comedy. The chronology is already rude enough. UL gives the man directions and the archive immediately discovers directions have met their natural predator.
The rest of the nearby Whiskey slice has the same little emotional feint. Bishop goes from "I feel love. 😑" to "I know you care. And you know I care about you. 😍🥰". The derivative lost the interlocutor, which means the page does not assign the affection to somebody just because a later Wall scene happens to feature Tofu. The voice survives; the target does not. Leave the missing noun missing.
THEN TOFU OPENS THE FILE
A few minutes later the Wall gets much more specific. Tofu tells Bishop:
"@BishopThaGuru will never stop being funny to me"
Bishop does not ask *what did I do*. He launches directly into discovery procedure:
"Why? What have you heard? Who you talk to? You with the feds?"
Mugs replies with exactly the sentence a person already performing fake paranoia does not need:
"The file in my office says so"
Bishop's response actually stammers on the page:
"W-which file?"
The gesture is tiny and perfect. He begins the exchange swaggering through mock suspicion, but one invented folder from Mugs and suddenly the typography itself folds. There is no real file, federal case, criminal history, or disciplinary proceeding hiding under the joke. What survives is Bishop understanding the bit instantly and then making his own panic the next punchline.
The same exchange gets softer without becoming less stupid. Bishop says "Too bad you don't love me no more. 🤷🏾♂️". Tofu eventually answers:
"Still love you. I love everyone…unfortunately."
That "unfortunately" does all the work. The affection is allowed to land and then immediately gets taxed. Familiarity survives because neither of them needs to stop the joke to explain whether they are joking.
COMPLIMENT OR WARNING? YES.
The next day Tofu posts two images that the current archive has not visually inspected. Good: the page is not going to invent the offense from filenames or reactions.
The text is enough. Bishop announces:
"I am something of a comedian myself. 😏"
Tofu replies that anything involving Bishop is bound to end up on the Wall of Shame.
Bishop, apparently checking the terms of service, asks:
"Is that a compliment, or a warning?"
Tofu:
"Both"
That is probably the cleanest two-word description of Bishop's surviving Wall reputation. The room likes having him there. The room also thinks having him there is evidence.
And Bishop is perfectly willing to sit on the other side of that machine until he hears it rotate. Later the same day he tells somebody else "Yeah unfortunately they caught you fam" with the relaxed sympathy of a man currently outside the blast radius. Then he admits he had been watching the exchange closely because he was wondering "is he talking to me? 🤣".
That laugh matters. He is not fleeing the joke; he is monitoring jurisdiction. Bishop can give somebody else perspective, narrate their capture, and still keep one eye on whether the Wall is about to swivel toward him. Prosecutor, audience, possible defendant: apparently the chair has wheels.
And then Tofu proves the point one day later by retrieving the Lobby receipt. Mugs had asked "18+ right?"; Bishop answered "Ye?". Tofu re-files the exchange on the Wall as proof that Bishop had supposedly second-guessed whether he was over eighteen. The page keeps the verbs straight: that is Tofu's characterization of the punctuation, not a factual claim that Bishop did not know his own age.
Ordinary onboarding chatter becomes screenshot material within forty-eight hours. Bishop gets a map, gets lost anyway, discovers Mugs has a file on him, and then watches a question mark become evidence. Extremely efficient first weekend.
THREE WEEKS LATER: WALTZ, APPARENTLY
July 19 gives the Bishop–Tofu thread a completely different temperature. Bishop posts a photo-submission attachment and captions it:
"Teaching @Tofu🐝 to Waltz turned out to be a lot cuter than expected... ☺️"
The verbs do enough without asking the archive to write a relationship status. "Teaching" gives us the activity. "turned out" makes the sweetness sound discovered in the doing rather than announced beforehand. "than expected" is Bishop admitting the scene surprised him a little, and that final smile does not exactly rush to restore emotional plausible deniability.
The important change is not romance. It is range. The same pair who spent Bishop's first weekend doing imaginary federal files, "unfortunately" love, and screenshot-jail warnings can also produce one soft little waltz caption three weeks later without needing to explain themselves to the room.
"IMG_0402.PNG" remains visually uninspected here. Bishop is POSTED BY for the surviving submission; the page does not guess poses, outfits, scenery, photographer, creator, or anything else the caption does not actually say. The human bit already survived in text: he expected a lesson and got a moment he found unexpectedly cute.
ALSO, BRING BACK HEIROGLYOHICS
Somewhere inside all this Bishop proposes a civilizational reform:
"Personally, I think we should bring back heiroglyohics.... Or... Yeah that word ...."
The self-correction never reaches the correction. He knows the word has gone wrong, gestures vaguely at the wreckage, and moves on. It does not need to become a motif. It just belongs in the file Mugs definitely does not have.
