The archive does not give us the first argument. It gives us Gilli dropping a P.S. into Announcements, a Pizza Party absorbing pineapple the next day, and UL later billing VIPs for the war.
October 5, 2021. Ren announces Underlords Big PP. Thirty-four minutes later, Gilli posts one sentence: P.S: Pineapple Pizza is the best Pizza.
The reaction pile answers before anybody needs a manifesto. The archive still does not prove this is where the dispute began.
FIRST, THE PARTY.
The event already exists. Favorite pizza, drinks, games, scary movies, and a name engineered to produce Big PP in an official announcement.
THEN GILLI PUTS PINEAPPLE IN THE ROOM.
Not in Club Only. Not buried in a food chat. In Announcements, immediately after Saber has gone back to scheduling Hunter Ranger.
The visible response is mixed and multi-person. That is enough to establish a live house argument without pretending emoji reactions are a census of permanent factions.
PINEAPPLES.
THE ARGUMENT GETS AN EVENT MECHANIC.
The Random Pizza Topping Challenge makes participants DM Gilli for assignments. Rummy gets Pineapples. Gilli's own assignment is Ham.
This does not prove the later phrase pineapple pizza war existed yet. It does show the ingredient moving from opinion into programmed house activity within a day.
NOW UL NAMES THE THING BACK TO ITSELF.
Thanksgiving is where the genealogy crosses the strongest ownership line. Mugen thanks VIPs for financing our pineapple pizza war.
The possessive is doing the work. Generic internet discourse has become house property.
ANNIVERSARY ACCOUNTING.
Four months later, the war has mutated into pineapple pizza addiction, again financed by VIP money, inside an anniversary message that also invokes UL's spelling crimes.
That is the durable part: the food argument is useful enough to survive as shorthand when UL describes UL.
NOT PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA.
THE REUSE OF IT.
Pineapple pizza is not an Underlords invention. The house-specific thing is the mutation chain: a named member plants the opinion in an official room; the room answers; the next day's social event gives pineapple a slot; a year later the club calls the disagreement our war; anniversary copy expects everybody to understand the reference without explanation.
The archive has earned the motif. It has not yet earned an origin story.

Earliest surviving is not origin. Searches across currently available pre-October-2021 UL material surfaced generic pizza GIFs, ordinary pineapple/fruit talk, and unrelated pineapple jokes, but no earlier explicit pineapple-pizza dispute that clears the native-motif bar. Those are rejected as noise, not silently backdated into this genealogy.
The Oct. 6 `REMAINING TOPPINGS!` post includes an original screenshot attachment (`Screen_Shot_2021-10-06_at_9.48.47_PM.png`). The exact message/media join is preserved, but the image was not visually inspected here, so this page does not describe its contents. `Gilli's Pizza Dough`, visible as Trebach's later nickname in 2022, remains a candidate Gilli-centered mutation; the current evidence does not prove it means pineapple pizza.
