# Rich
Amaurot's club leader.
S10 OPENING-ERA POWER MAP
Mugs-confirmed context: when Dragon Raja first opened on S10, Amaurot was one of the top three clubs.
ScarletMoon was #1.
That matters because UL's VIP list was not only casual visitors. Some visitors came from major neighboring clubs with leadership structures and reputations of their own.
BEFORE THE CORPSE ROOM, HE WAS ALREADY CONNECTING ROOMS
The 2020 archive finally makes Rich's leadership useful at character scale instead of leaving it as a title in the Case File.
On April 7, Snow asks him in the UL Lobby:
hey rich anyone else want to join from Amaurot?
The tiny word doing all the work is else. Snow is not introducing two strangers or asking the room at large. She goes to Rich as the obvious Amaurot-side contact and asks whether more people want through the door. The archive does not let us assign individual recruits to him from that sentence, but it does show what the relationship between clubs looked like in motion: Rich was somebody UL could ask when it needed to reach Amaurot people.
Five days later, Mugen announces to UL that “DragonRich (Amaurot Leader) has created an S10 channel for anyone interested” and drops the invite. Different scene, same instinct. Rich is not only the head of one club guarding one roster; he is building a room above the club boundary and UL is advertising it to its own people.
This is delicious in hindsight because Amaurot later merged under UL. The April receipts do not prove that these invitations caused the merger or tell us when the merger happened. They show something more human and more useful: before the institutions converged, the relationship was already porous. People had doors into one another's spaces. Rich was standing near one of those doors.
UL FILE
Rich belongs under VIP because that category preserves his external-club lineage. His Amaurot leadership is not retroactively a UL command rank, and the later merger does not turn "Amaurot Leader" into "UL Officer" by paperwork magic.
INTERCLUB CONTEXT
Zyrcant was Rich's deputy in Amaurot before the merger. Woosung, the former ScarletMoon leader, supplies the other side of the S10 powerhouse context.
Taken together, these are not random guest cameos. UL's social world was already overlapping with other organized groups, complete with their own leaders, deputies, and migration paths.
FUNCLE RICH REMEMBERS WHO CAN SEE THE PAGE
September 18, 2021. The Wall.
Rich begins a sentence with the kind of idea that would normally guarantee the evidence room another exhibit:
I was going to put in underlord’s underground strip dungeon but then I remember platelets can view this page
That but then I remember is the useful part. He does not need somebody to stop him afterward. The imagined joke gets filtered in his own sentence because the Platelets can see the page.
Ren watches this tiny act of self-editing and immediately translates it into UL family grammar:
Funcle rich thinking of his 100+ nephews
Zyrcant:
thats a lot of nephews
There. "Funcle Rich" is no longer only a Daycare-local nickname floating around the children's room. The joke follows him onto the Wall at exactly the moment he is thinking about the minors who can see it.
That does not make Rich a literal uncle to a small nation, nor a formal guardian, moderator, or child-safety officer. "100+" is Ren being Ren. What the receipt gives us is better: the house sees Rich remember the age boundary on his own, and the house's chosen response is to turn that behavior into kinship comedy.
IF THE NONSENSE EXISTS, RICH WANTS THE PROCEDURE
Across late 2021 and 2022, Rich keeps making the same conversational move in completely different costumes: UL supplies an absurd premise; Rich accepts it immediately and starts checking whether the system is being operated correctly.
Gabu announces that everyone wants his nipples cold, therefore he is going to strip. Rich does not request a committee hearing on the nipple constituency. He checks jurisdiction:
Go for this is strip club
A few months later Rich decides it is time to "punish a panda" and pages Eos. Eos answers "yep...." and summons Marian. The Panda language already belongs to Marian and Eos's own recurring joke ecology; Rich's contribution is the routing. Apparently the absurd institution has a caretaker desk, and he knows which extension to call.
Then Snow starts losing bodies. Rich's wording treats that as an operational condition already in progress while he points at whatever Ansun is doing "in the middle of snow losing the bodies". The archive still does not resolve the exact game mechanic, and nobody here is transporting literal human remains. Rich does not need the ontology explained. There are bodies. Snow is losing them. Incident report filed.
The same instinct gets nerdier when the Wall discusses its fastest-shame record. Rich reasons that the theoretical floor would be getting shamed "the moment you join the server before the lobby". Everybody else has invented a stupid performance metric; Rich has started doing latency math on it. A later pre-join Wall case does not become his prediction or handiwork. The useful beat is that he hears a ridiculous record category and immediately asks how low the number can physically go.
By September 2022, the compliance desk reaches Gabu's "Drink water reminder" name. Rich posts an image, tags the reminder, and concludes:
I don’t think @Drink water reminder had enough watah
The screenshot itself remains visually unresolved, so Rich is only confirmed as POSTED BY there. The text already lands without it. A person named like public-health signage has apparently failed the hydration audit, and Rich is the one who notices the department is violating its own policy.
None of this makes Rich UL's Operations Officer, Facilities Manager, Compliance Goblin, or any other title the archive never gave him. It is funnier as behavior. Rich rarely cancels the premise. He checks the procedure.
That also makes the later couch years feel less like a personality transplant. The former Amaurot leader can build cross-server rooms when the stakes are real, then bring the same systems-brain into UL's idiotic little institutions when the stakes are fake. One version connects clubs. The other apparently audits hydration signage.
POKE, PROTEST, PAT
March 30, 2023 gives the same instinct a relationship-sized version.
Rich tags Woosung into the room's stock tsundere bit. Woosung true-replies:
OMG NO WHY WOULD U
Rich's direct answer is not a second argument for the label. It is a pat-head penguin GIF.
Poke. Protest. Pat.
The tiny sequence matters because Rich does not seem to need every objection to become a referendum on whether the joke was allowed to exist. Woosung gets to object. Rich stays inside the playful register and adds a softener instead of escalating the prosecution or demanding she admit the caricature fits.
That is not a formal apology, proof that the protest was fake, romance, or permission to tease forever. It is simply teasing with a brake pedal.
And it turns the systems pattern into a relationship verb. Rich keeps fake institutions usable by understanding their internal rules; here he keeps a person inside the premise by letting the objection change the next move without requiring the entire premise to collapse.
### Petty Crime: Customer Service After Provocation
Defendant objects.
Prosecution sends one penguin pat.
Case somehow remains open.
FIGHT CLUB DID NOT DIE. IT GOT UPHOLSTERED.
The missing bridge between early event-room UL and the later digital living room comes from Rich himself.
By September 2020, Rooks is already talking to Rich as somebody with Fight Club access. Then on December 31, 2022, Rich looks backward and remembers:
all the screaming and yelling from the fight club vc before it got turned into my couch
There it is. The room genealogy in one sentence.
Richard's Corpse On A Cooch was not born from nowhere as a cozy late-era hangout. The old Fight Club VC got upholstered. A room built for screaming and yelling mutated into a room where people would later watch Rich cook, fall asleep, listen to him talk, and lurk around whatever he happened to be streaming.
The funny part is that the couch had already started colonizing Rich before the room genealogy got spelled out.
On February 23, 2022, while Mugen was explaining that the stripclub's natural state was "The chaotic vibe on which this stripclub is built uwu", Rich assigned himself the least strenuous job in the building:
And I’m just the stripclub couch potato watching it happen and laughing😂😂
By November he was still listing "a couch potato" among the attractions new members would find beside the strippers, grandpa and grandma. He is not merely near the furniture anymore. He is part of the advertised population.
Then New Year's makes the furniture personal. After Rich remembers Fight Club VC becoming "my couch", Mugen answers:
We stopped screaming since you passed out on the couch so we dont wake you :3
Rich does not contest the sleeping allegation. His rebuttal is that his "ramen butt" could sleep through that shit. The defense has conceded unconsciousness and moved directly to durability.
Five months later Sou files an official-looking timestamped commemoration: "Rich was swept with a broom and flew to his couch. This post commemorates that achievement." Rich's first question the next day is whether this happened before or after he started tooting. Sou informs him that breathing probably covered both ends.
So no, the couch is not one stray name joke. The room keeps returning Rich to the same position: sedentary witness, sleeper, inhabitant, apparently broom-compatible furniture. It is a running place-role built out of people repeatedly remembering him there — not an administrative title, and not permission to invent the exact Discord rename history.
The archive does not give us that exact rename date. The useful continuity is already better than a date guess: an event room survived by changing jobs, and Rich somehow survived by becoming upholstery.
2024 — RICHARD'S CORPSE BECOMES A LIVING ROOM
The late voice-room archive gives Rich a completely different kind of relevance.
On October 28, 2024, Life/Sye's surviving text reacts for roughly two hours while Rich appears to be cooking and talking: fire-safety warnings, garlic, dinner, work, MMOs, PC parts, geography, donuts. Rich himself contributes almost no text.
That asymmetry is the point. In voice, a person can be socially central while leaving almost no keyboard trace.
Two days later Momo says she had fallen asleep and that Rich's voice startled her awake during an apparent shared-watch/stream session. By December, Tae is watching Rich play another game, considering downloading it, wondering whether Rummy would like it, and saying they will join another day if Rich is streaming.
This gives Rich an unexpectedly tidy long arc. In 2020 he is helping connect people between clubs. In 2021 the room catches him remembering the Platelets before the joke leaves his mouth and calls him Funcle for it. In 2022 he personally self-identifies as the stripclub couch potato. Fight Club becomes his couch; by 2023 Sou is commemorating his broom-assisted return to it. By 2024 people are gathering in the inherited room simply because he is there cooking, talking, or showing them a game.
The scale collapses from S10 infrastructure to fake uncle to screaming VC to human furniture to hanging out in somebody's digital kitchen, but the underlying move keeps orbiting the same thing: other people are present, and Rich behaves like that matters.
That is much more interesting than "former neighboring-club boss". The leadership title survives as history; the behavior survives as hospitality.
THE DATA TRAP
If we ranked late VC by text messages alone, Rich would look strangely absent from his own room.
The surrounding messages prove why that would be nonsense. Other people repeatedly address him, react to what he is apparently saying or streaming, and organize their own attention around him.
So Rich's file carries a methodological warning too: voice-channel text volume is not voice participation.
FILE STATUS
Rich's Amaurot leadership, Amaurot's top-three S10 opening-era position, ScarletMoon's #1 position, the later Amaurot → UL merger, and Rich's UL VIP placement are Mugs-confirmed. The April 2020 liaison/S10-channel scenes, the September 2021 Funcle/Platelet scene, the bounded 2021–2022 procedure/routing pattern, the March 2023 Woosung tease→protest→pat beat, the 2022–2023 couch-potato/couch recurrence, Rich's December 2022 Fight Club→couch recollection, and late-2024 VC social centrality are archive-observable. Reading those together as a continuity from interclub bridge-building to age-aware house behavior to someone who administers UL's fake systems from inside, keeps a teasing interaction usable with a tiny brake pedal, becomes the room's recurring piece of furniture, and finally turns inherited voice space into ordinary hangout gravity is interpretation, not a formal role claim.
