THEIR WHOLE DEAL

New belongs to Mugen's older pre-Raja social circle and is GenGrey's friend. Later, New recalls Mugen recruiting him through GenGrey; that route sits inside an already-existing network rather than marking a first meeting. By 2023 he is dry, low-defensive, and socially quick: he can poke Ansun, concede when the counterpoint lands, ask Cele for an alias translation, bring Cele a Wall receipt, and later report for duty when Xuseio volunteers him as tribute. By 2026 he is helping supply QOTD prompts. Key was never especially fond of him.

SAME OLD CIRCLE, LATER RECRUITMENT ROUTE

New is exactly the kind of person a flat timeline can fuck up, just not in the way this page used to say.

He is already part of Mugen's older pre-Raja social circle. GenGrey is his friend. Later, New remembers Mugen recruiting him through GenGrey.

Those facts do not fight each other. A mutual friend can become the route into a new shared thing even when the people involved already know each other. Recruitment is an event. First acquaintance is another event. They do not have to share a timestamp just because one sentence contains all three humans.

That correction actually makes New's later Discord life more interesting, because old relationship provenance still does not come with an automatically synchronized alias database.

THE ROOM NAME LANDS BEFORE THE PEOPLE INDEX

On his first clean 2023 archive day, Ansun is declaring himself the Wall's best entertainment source. New's first move is to needle the wording:

"Shamefully hilarious right?"

Ansun refuses the shame and reframes the whole thing as being excellent entertainment. New does not spend five more messages defending the original joke. He gives the point back:

"touche, chat name is shame fame so ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ"

That tiny concession is more useful than the line by itself. New likes the poke, but he does not appear to need to win the exchange. Ansun lands the counterpoint; New shrugs, accepts it, and the room keeps moving.

Two weeks later:

"who mochi"

Cele true-replies:

"Itโ€™s rummy :Fat_Wheeze:"

Later New writes:

"ohhh"

"Now i know who that is in raja"

That is not a contradiction with the older circle. It is ordinary friend-group reality. People collect game names, Discord names, nicknames, renamed accounts and local nonsense faster than anybody sane maintains a census.

New can understand how the room works before he can resolve every label the room has accumulated. He does not bluff recognition. He asks. Cele translates Mochi back into the Raja identity he can place. The map updates.

There is something pleasantly un-defensive about the exchange. No "oh yeah obviously I knew that". No attempt to save face after asking. Just "ohhh" and the new information gets installed.

HE LEARNS THE WALL BY USING IT

The same March window shows New becoming useful inside UL's joke machinery before he has every alias memorized. He reads the Shame/Fame room name as part of the premise, then starts contributing Wall material himself.

On March 14 he posts a screenshot under the caption:

"Cele on rum"

Nine seconds later he tags Cele directly into her own exhibit. Cele's response is an "I-", then a wheeze. New laughs with the room.

The pixels stay sealed. We do not need them for the person part. New is already comfortable enough to file something, call the defendant in by name, and then share the reaction instead of turning the post into a solemn prosecution. Three days later, the same Cele is the person he asks for help when "Mochi" fails to resolve. That is a lived relationship verb: teasing and practical context handoff can coexist without either of them needing a different social channel.

That matters because it separates cultural fluency from encyclopedic tenure. New does not wait until the whole social graph is memorized before participating. He figures out the operating rule and starts using it.

By May, Mugen can caption outside media as:

"@New using the UL gym for the first time"

The media itself stays uninspected. The relationship beat does not need the pixels. New has become legible enough that somebody else can write him into UL's found-footage grammar. He goes from reading the house, to filing material in the house, to becoming material the house can cast.

PROSECUTOR, TRIBUTE, SAME GUY

January 2024 is where the Wall turns New's flexibility back on him. Xuseio tags him with:

"You've been volunteered as a tribute."

New returns the next day and does not ask for an exemption. He adopts the premise:

"I've been summoned to be used as tribute"

That is the contradiction that finally makes the March scenes cohere. New can bring the exhibit and later be the exhibit's designated sacrifice without treating either position as a status emergency. He is not passive; he is low-defensive. If the joke is good enough to understand, he can occupy whichever side of it the room hands him.

That same lack of ego is sitting in the Ansun exchange and the "who mochi" question. He can poke, concede, ask, learn, prosecute, get conscripted. None of those moves requires him to stop the room and explain what they mean for his dignity.

KEY DID NOT HAVE TO LIKE THE ARRANGEMENT

Key is not fond of New. That is confirmed and should stay exactly as unromantic as it currently is.

The archive does not earn a cause, confrontation scene, sabotage story or grand feud. It earns an asymmetry inside an old social network. People do not inherit each other's relationships as a bundled subscription. New can be part of the older circle, be GenGrey's friend, later be recruited through GenGrey into another shared context, and still be somebody Key dislikes.

That friction makes the network more believable, not less coherent.

BY 2026, HE IS FEEDING THE OLD MACHINE BY HAND

After the Cafe Barista stops posting, the QOTD room returns intermittently under human power. Moon carries most of that work, but New contributes a short April run of his own prompts: shared games and movies, what everyone would do at an in-person UL meetup, motivation, skills people wish they had learned earlier, pet peeves, fame, discourse, wild animals.

That does not turn him into the new Barista or create a formal title. It does show the later version of New doing more than learning the cast list. The person who once needed "Mochi" translated is now helping manufacture reasons for everybody else to talk.

The fuller progression is better now that the chronology is fixed:

old relationship โ†’ later recruitment route โ†’ partial room fluency โ†’ active contribution โ†’ becoming material โ†’ helping the room generate conversation.

Petty Crimes

Administrative cooperation arrives with terms and conditions. "Club: uhh the server name itself :P". "Age: old enuff". The form is technically complete; dignity has been subcontracted.

He apparently used the Hall of Shame as an identity-resolution service, which is a magnificent abuse of infrastructure: "who mochi" goes in, Raja recognition comes out.

And if Xuseio volunteers him as tribute, New may return the next day to report that he has been summoned to be used as tribute. Conscription accepted; wording improved.

SHOW RECEIPTS

New / Newmal is a man, a friend of GenGrey, and part of Mugen's older off-Discord / pre-Dragon Raja social circle alongside GenGrey, Dean, Key, Zepp, Kal, and Mugen.

Later New recalls Mugen recruiting New through GenGrey. That recruitment route does not establish first-meeting chronology and does not remove New from the older pre-Raja circle.

On March 3, 2023, stable Discord account 814562907555233824 (`_newplayer`, displayed as New) self-filed in Lobby as `IGN: Newmal`, `Club: uhh the server name itself :P`, `Age: old enuff`.

The recovered 2023 stable-account message snapshots carry a historical Staff role. New is not listed in the current living roster, so the page treats Staff as archive-era metadata rather than current status or appointment chronology.

Recovered 2023 Lobby / Wall account snapshots

Later on March 3, Ansun called himself the Wall's best entertainment source; New first poked back with `Shamefully hilarious right?`, then accepted Ansun's counterpoint with `touche, chat name is shame fame so ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ`.

On March 14, 2023, New posted a Wall screenshot with the caption `Cele on rum`, tagged Cele nine seconds later, and laughed along after Cele answered `I-` and then wheezed.

On March 17, 2023, New asked `who mochi`; Cele true-replied `Itโ€™s rummy`. Later the same morning New wrote `ohhh` and `Now i know who that is in raja`.

After the Cafe Barista stopped posting, New became one of the human prompt-builders in April 2026, supplying multiple manual QOTD questions about shared games and movies, a hypothetical UL meetup, motivation, skills, pet peeves, fame, discourse topics, and wild animals.
