# Han
Han is UL Media Director: filmmaker, media person, occasional unwilling exhibit in the same archive he helps feed.
The title makes sense once the timeline catches up to it. In 2022 Mugen explains that UL roles were primarily tied to duties and points straight at Han's promotional-video work. But the better biography starts earlier, when the media guy is still mostly just trying to know the people around him better.
"I NEED TO GET KNOWN WITH ALL OF U BETTER"
September 5, 2021. Whiskey.
Han says:
"I need to get known with all of u better"
Then:
"I need a fam"
Baby Lyssa answers:
"we are your fam"
About ninety seconds later Mugen asks whether UL should have an intro page. Name. Age bucket. Club. Known-for. Fun fact. A few minutes after that:
"Ok hold on lemme make the page"
Ren immediately sees the welcome-desk use for it and asks when they are updating Tumbleweed too, because apparently one identity system was not enough.
Han does not solemnly found Biodata. He says he wants to know everybody better and the room responds by inventing paperwork at terrifying speed. Biodata later says it opened by popular request. Han is simply standing in the live conversation where a social need turns into infrastructure.
The important part is not that Han likes information. He wants the information because he wants the people to stop being strangers. The form is infrastructure. The motive arrives wearing "I need a fam".
THE MEDIA DIRECTOR BUILDS A WAY FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO BE SEEN
A month later, Voice Challenge gives the title more shape.
Dragon Raja characters do not really have voices, so Han asks members to imagine one: pick a song that sounds like the character, pair it with character images or video, use "#ULvoice", and add it to the shared presentation.
When comparison becomes a concern, Han is explicit:
"It is not about who does better or worse"
Then, one minute later:
"It is about having fun and expressing yourself"
That second sentence is the whole challenge with the corporate varnish sandblasted off. Somebody is anxious enough to consider redoing their work after seeing everyone else's; Han does not answer by telling them how to compete better. He removes the competition.
And then the supposedly soft idea immediately grows teeth as infrastructure. On October 18 Han looks at the pile of submissions and yells:
"AAAH WE HAVE A WHOLE GALLERY"
The next day:
"All challenge works are pinned"
Three minutes later Mugen changes the room permissions so "@Underlords Media Director" can pin messages there directly.
That little sequence is Han's title becoming visible in motion. First there is a creative container. Then people actually fill it. Han starts treating the room like a gallery instead of a scrollback graveyard. Mugen notices the curation job and gives the role the Discord permission needed to keep doing it without asking for the keys every time.
It is not an appointment ceremony. It is better evidence than one. The function is standing there doing the work, and the server bends around it.
The room also turns into a tiny editing clinic. DarkAsrai asks what app people use and Ren answers "Cap cut works!!"; Gilli labels her own tool as InShot; ShiyaX keeps making more after Han says people can submit as many as they want. The challenge does not just collect finished art. It quietly teaches people that they are allowed to make more of it.
And Han's reaction to getting the gallery is not cool professional satisfaction. It is "AAAH WE HAVE A WHOLE GALLERY". The curator is delighted enough to temporarily lose indoor voice. The work matters because people actually showed up inside it.
HE CARES WHAT THE EVIDENCE MEANS. HE DOES NOT WORSHIP THE CROP TOOL.
This is where Han gets much more useful than "media guy = perfectionist".
On August 19, Ren posts a cropped Club-Only failure screenshot and Han objects that the crop does not visibly prove where it came from. That is a meaning problem. If the artifact cannot support the claim people are making from it, Han cares.
Then September 22 gives the opposite-looking behavior:
"It also stays here"
"Im lazy to crop"
And somehow that makes the first scene better instead of contradicting it.
Han is not worshipping neat presentation. He is distinguishing what matters. Provenance can matter. Extra irrelevant Discord context in an informal screenshot may not. One deserves an argument. The other apparently deserves absolutely none of his evening.
The Media Director title can make every surviving object look as if it emerged from a dark editing suite after forty-seven revisions. "Im lazy to crop" restores the human production pipeline: judgment, triage, shortcuts, mood, and the occasional professional decision that six extra pixels can die mad.
That same realism shows up in his availability. A month later Han tells ShiyaX:
"I will answer when I get some time :frognod:"
Then he immediately returns to the room's troll-emote register.
Not an apology. Not an instant-service promise. Just later, when I have time. The filmmaker has a job, a cat, a spectacular injury-detection problem, and apparently enough sense to admit that the Discord media department does not own every minute of his day.
"PROBABLY LAST" LASTS THREE WEEKS
The 2021 Photo Submissions run gives Han an even better process contradiction.
He makes five official entries: Popstar, NightLife, Scary, Family, and Winter. Inside that bounded contest run, the images repeatedly keep the avatar/person readable — styling, face, clothing, pose, attitude — while the setting supports the person instead of swallowing them. That is a real visual preference in this project, not a declaration that every Han film or design uses one eternal style.
Then November 15, after Family:
"probably gonna be the last submission for me"
December 7, Winter:
"still have something left hehe"
The word probably did heroic advance legal work.
Han does not stage the reversal as a crisis. He thought he was probably done. Then apparently he was not. Something else arrived, so he made another thing and returned with "hehe" instead of a manifesto about changing his creative direction.
That belongs beside "Im lazy to crop". Han is neither a rigid production machine nor a chaotic person who cannot finish. He can decide polish is unnecessary when the social job is already done, and he can discover one more idea after believing the run was probably over. His making has room for revision without turning every revision into identity drama.
THE WALL KEEPS PUTTING HIM BACK IN THE FRAME
Han is not especially successful at remaining backstage.
September 12, Slice:
"My life is too boring to share, but here is my cat sitting in a weird pose."
Perfect Slice constitution. Nothing important has to happen. The cat is sitting wrong. Post it.
Five days after the August evidence argument, Mugs threatens to put him on her wall/shame. Han pauses to ask the question the institution has somehow avoided settling:
"Is it fame or shame lol"
Mugs:
"Both"
Then on September 22 Han asks when the Wall last had a FAME moment and nominates himself:
"I have a FAME moment rn"
The achievement:
"I survived another day at work."
October brings the broken-toe family story. Han walked on the thing for about a week before realizing it was broken. His mother criticizes this decision. Han answers by reminding her that she once walked on a broken leg for a month.
This is not a family with a strong moral position against injury negligence. It is a household apparently litigating who neglected a fracture more impressively.
Han eventually predicts the administrative consequence of continuing to provide this much material:
"Soon u guys will need to rename this channel to Han's wall of shame fame"
The person helping UL turn people into media keeps volunteering to become media himself.
THE GAME LOSES CUSTODY OF THE MEDIA DUDE
November 17, 2021 gives Han one of the cleanest early game/community separation lines in the archive:
"I quit the game, but I will be still here as club media dude uwu."
No resignation memo. No dramatic exit.
Game status changes. The UL function stays.
The line lands harder after Biodata, Voice Challenge, and Photo Submissions because "media" has already grown beyond Dragon Raja promo. Han is helping the group see itself. Quitting Raja does not require him to stop doing that.
DUTY FIRST. TITLE SECOND
September 4, 2022. Whiskey again.
Mugen explains that UL roles are granted primarily based on duties. Her Media Director example is Han: he makes promotional videos, so the work gets a recognized title.
That is unusually clean archive evidence. Nobody has to reverse-engineer a Discord color and pretend it is an appointment ceremony.
The title names work that already exists.
And by then the work has a very Han-shaped trail behind it: wanting to know the room better, helping build a self-presentation format, turning a submission pile into A WHOLE GALLERY, getting literal curation permissions, participating as a maker himself, deciding a crop is not worth the trouble when the meaning is already fine, finding one more submission after he thought he was probably done, posting the weird cat anyway, cross-examining the Wall, filing his own Fame moment, and staying club media dude uwu after Raja stops being his game.
The filmmaker is never safely outside the frame for long.
Petty Crimes
Crop Refusal With Professional Credentials. Han can care whether a screenshot proves what people say it proves and still look at an unrelated crop job and decide: "Im lazy to crop". Precision has a purpose. Suffering is not the purpose.
Creative Retirement: 22 Days, Give or Take. "probably gonna be the last submission for me" survives until "still have something left hehe". HR accepts the revised filing.
Family Fracture Olympics. Han walks on a broken toe for about a week. His mother objects. Han counters with her month-long broken-leg record. Nobody in this household wins; orthopedics does.
Another Day at Work: FAME. Surviving a normal workday is apparently enough to nominate himself for the Wall's prestige category. Standards were never recovered.
