PPTS FROM HELL

Founders, officers, Snipers, rules, ULCC, JAG, Judgement, CODE RED, tours, role systems, recruitment machinery. UL repeatedly solved friendship-scale problems with institution-scale tools. Somehow this is still only the first slide.

Formal authority explains one kind of centrality. Ambient presence, creative maintenance, recurring jokes, technical help, and social gravity explain others. Han can be the formal Media Director while Mia later becomes a de facto participation engine without inheriting his title. The paperwork and the organism overlap; they are not identical.

Biodata asks people to describe themselves. Photo Submissions makes them visible. Voice Challenge adds sound. QOTD produces daily characterization. Birthdays makes remembering calendarized. The Wall curates quotable selves. PR turns people into shared visual objects. UL repeatedly built machinery for mutual legibility.

PR does not preserve one stable visual identity. It preserves repeated acts of remaking UL: mafia glamour, seasonal planners, bananas, tomatoes, doodles, banners, nostalgia reposts, history-film material. The continuity is not one logo. The continuity is everybody continuing to make Underlords together.

Early UL can be summarized as: we play Dragon Raja, therefore we spend time together. Late-2024 VC reverses the arrow: we spend time together, therefore maybe I will install whatever you are playing. Once the relationship network can generate its own reasons for contact, the original game becomes replaceable content instead of load-bearing structure.

Text chat produces glorious evidence because the conversation is the record. Voice does not. A person can cook, stream, talk, or wake somebody from a nap while barely touching the keyboard. That means declining text is not automatically declining relationship. Sometimes the archive is quiet because everybody is on the couch.

The Wall saves quotes and screenshots. PR begins by saving promotional material so it will not be lost. Old posters get reposted for posterity, then become nostalgia objects, then historical evidence. By 2026 PR is discussing an UL history short film. The current archive project is not an alien behavior imposed after the fact. It is an old UL reflex with better tooling.

The slide can scream. The footnote has to behave. Voice residue is not a transcript. A Lobby greeting is not automatically a first join date. A birthday self-report is not a civil record. An informal creative niche is not a formal title. The joke gets to be feral; provenance does not.
