BEFORE THE VIP BADGE, THERE WAS ANOTHER ORG CHART
Zyrcant did not arrive in UL history as an unattached guest. She had already been Rich's deputy in Amaurot. Then Amaurot merged under UL. That makes the surviving VIP label slightly deceptive: the guest file is carrying the remains of a whole previous command structure.
The archive independently preserves the lineage even before it gives us the merger story. In January 2021, the "akariel_star" account says it was in Amaurot and then identifies its IGN as Zyrcant. Mugs-confirmed canon supplies the part the check-in cannot: Rich led Amaurot, Zyrcant was his deputy, and Amaurot later merged under UL.
Do not turn this into "therefore Zyrcant became a UL Officer". Different institution, different rank system, different paperwork.
THE OUTSIDE ORG CHART DID NOT STOP HER FROM BECOMING HOUSE PEOPLE
Mugs confirms the simpler present-tense relationship: Zyrcant adores UL. That should not be inflated into an appointment, attendance guarantee, or friendship ranking. It does matter because it keeps the Amaurot provenance from becoming the whole person. She arrives with another club's history and still becomes emotionally legible inside this one.
Voice Challenge catches the same shift through culture rather than rank. Zyrcant selects "Magnetic Moon" for her character and asks Han for editing help. The former deputy is now using UL's internal self-expression machinery like everybody else.
SHE LOOKS MEAN. THIS IS APPARENTLY FALSE ADVERTISING.
Zyrcant knows the first read she can give people. "People think im mean and are scared of me at first glance", she says in QOTD. A couple months later she says basically the same thing again: people think she is mean.
The people actually talking to her keep returning a different report. Ren calls her happy, cheery, the kind of person who makes a party lively, with a nice smile. Another peer reads her as pop-bright but still light and mellow, then tells her directly that she gives off nice-person vibes.
Zyrcant supplies the missing piece herself when the room asks what is surprising about her:
"my protectiveness"
She elaborates that people can assume she only cares about herself, "but im real overprotective". The next question is tiny and therefore much better than a personality quiz result: does that include "us too?"
"Yes uwu"
There it is. The intimidating surface is real enough that Zyrcant notices it herself, but it is not the whole social experience. Once somebody is actually inside the circle, the person they get is brighter, sillier and apparently liable to start worrying about everybody.
By 2023 she describes the switch with much less ceremony: "Quiet at first but a crackhead once I’m comfortable". She also says she usually stays quiet to herself. Those are not contradictions that need fixing. Quiet is the default setting. Comfort is apparently where the warranty expires.
THEN SHE APPLIES FOR SCREENSHOT JAIL
The Wall catches the other half of the familiar-person version four days after her January check-in. Zyrcant walks into the shame room and asks, with the optimism of somebody applying for a scholarship:
"put me on the wall of shame 😩"
Ren's answer turns humiliation into a credential:
"You got to e a r n your place here"
Zyrcant accepts the admissions policy with "fair lmaooo".
Then the archive waits six months before cashing the joke. July 23, ShiyaX announces:
"@Akariel™ got caught in 4k"
There is no attachment on that accusation, so the site has no idea what she allegedly did. Beautifully, neither does her defense require one. Two hours later Zyrcant returns with:
"oooh shit *runs*"
January Zyrcant volunteers for public disgrace. Ren tells her she has not earned it yet. July Zyrcant hears that she has finally been caught and her entire legal strategy is stage direction. The Wall does not need a formal application process for the callback to work; the comedy is that she wrote herself a future appointment with the evidence room and eventually showed up only long enough to flee it.
Two days later she makes the contradiction worse by walking back into the same room with her own filing. "This was a convo I had with my BF xD", she says, attaching the exhibit herself. Mugen true-replies "Tru lub". The attachment stays sealed here; the important part is the hand carrying it. Zyrcant does not merely survive Screenshot Court. Sometimes she brings evidence from home and places it on the clerk's desk herself.
That turns the January joke into a habit with agency. She wanted into the Wall, ran when somebody else announced she had been caught, then voluntarily returned with material of her own. The embarrassment economy works because she is not only its victim. She is one of the idiots helping keep it supplied.
The extra wrinkle is that she is not playing the fool because competence has abandoned the premises. Eight days before ShiyaX's "caught in 4k", Ansun's Kahoot announcement puts Shinn, Nelphie, and Zyrcant in the event's top three. The exact order is gone. The contradiction is not. Zyrcant can do well when the room gives her something to win and still cooperate enthusiastically when the room gives her a prosecution to lose. Competitive enough to place, shameless enough to help prosecute herself is much closer to the person than either "former deputy" or "gets teased" on its own.
BY OCTOBER, THE OLD ORG CHART IS NOT THE MOST INTERESTING THING SHE SAYS ABOUT HERSELF
The Wall catches the social sequel. Zyrcant writes "im the one person who tackles ppl". Seven seconds later she specifies today's assignment: "and im tackling gabu in this case".
The surrounding exhibit is not reconstructed cleanly enough to decide what the tackle consisted of. It does not need to be. The former deputy is now fluent enough inside UL to give herself an absurd little function and name the current target without an explanatory memo.
Petty Crimes
- Declared "word of the day is ass" and apparently considered the bulletin complete.
- Once remembered, mid-conversation, that she had the whole Bee Movie saved as a GIF. The later URL stays unconvicted; the confession is enough.
- Applied to the Wall of Shame before she had apparently earned the credential, ran when somebody later announced "caught in 4k", then came back two days after that carrying her own exhibit. Defendant, fugitive, volunteer prosecutor: apparently the job description was flexible.
- Describes herself as quiet at first, crackhead once comfortable. Conveniently, the rest of the file agrees.
