On October 17, 2021, Mugen reposted what she identified as Underlords' first poster from March 2020 and credited Hyaluna for the photo and Gilli for the edit; Ren said she remembered it and Ricochet and Akariel said they missed Luna.
UL VISUAL HISTORY
the poster was supposed to advertise an event. unfortunately it developed a biography.
MARCH 2020 — THE FIRST POSTER COMES BACK FROM THE DEAD
When the Club Media Gallery opens in October 2021, Mugen reposts what she calls Underlords' first poster from March 2020 and credits Hyaluna for the photo and Gilli for the edit. Ren immediately says she still remembers it; Ricochet says she misses Luna; Akariel says the same.
The artifact is already doing two jobs. It is proof of an early visual identity—comedy club, strip club, open for business—and it is a trigger for remembering a person. **One old JPEG summons the founding era and an absent member in the same scroll.**
APRIL 2021 — NEIGHBORHOOD-FRIENDLY MAFIA BECOMES COPY
Ansun makes a reusable Discord promotional piece for the gaps between photoshoot winners. Mugen says the more posters the merrier because she rotates them in the official Dragon Raja Discord, then explains what she means by "neighborhood friendly mafia". The surviving animated piece folds the phrase directly into recruitment copy beside "Join the Family", comedy bar, strip club, casino, spelling bee and McDonald's Playplace.
This is a particularly pure UL object: community warmth and organized-crime cosplay occupying the same bullet list with a children's play area.
2021–2022 — THE WEEKLY PLANNER BECOMES A COMMUNAL CLOCK
Wolf and Anthos repeatedly post Weekly Planners and invite corrections. The same logistics are redressed for autumn, Christmas, Valentine's and other looks. Later planners return again in 2024.
The genealogy is conceptual rather than one exact file: **schedule → themed schedule → seasonal ritual object**. The week is still bureaucracy, but now the bureaucracy has leaves, snowflakes and Valentine flowers.
JUNE 2023 — THE JPEG BECOMES A RELAY BATON
Ren proposes putting Platelet doodles on a blank canvas and making the result a poster. Mia starts the file. From there the image is repeatedly saved, modified and reposted by different people. The visible chain includes versions passed through Mia, other members, Mugen, Wolf, Oyasumi, Snow, Sye, Gilli, Xuseio, Momo, DyingFox and DiStratus.
The conversation is effectively a version-control protocol invented by people who do not call it version control: use the latest copy, add your piece, work on another layer if possible, and do not fork the image so badly that somebody's doodle disappears.
The undercurrent is blunt. **A missing doodle means a missing person.** That is why the file matters.
JUNE 2023 — FROM SCRIBBLE SHEET TO OFFICIAL BANNER
The shared doodle object begins as a playful canvas and quickly gets promoted. Daya proposes turning the finished project into the Raja poster and Discord server banner; Mugen produces a banner treatment and keeps soliciting more marks.
Official representation is no longer something a specialist makes *for* the members. The members' marks themselves become the official representation.
JULY–AUGUST 2023 — BANANA LORDS GOES TO WORK
The next collaborative format is bananas. The room immediately develops banana faces, eyelashes, eye contact, Roblox man-face banana and other crimes. Weeks later, when Mia asks whether they are done with bananas and starts tomatoes, Daya asks for the final banana copy so she can use it as the current Raja poster.
The joke has completed the institutional circuit: **participatory nonsense → finished communal artifact → external recruitment surface**.
OCTOBER 2023 — HALLOWEEN HOLDS THE DOOR OPEN
The Halloween canvas repeats the shared-image ritual. Mugen tags a huge spread of people to "GET SPOOKY"; Sye explains how to save and repost the current image; Mia offers to add drawings for anyone too lazy or unable to do it themselves.
Em contributes a small cat through finger art on a phone and says they would reinstall Raja but it takes too much space. Mugen answers that Em is still part of the family without Raja. The artifact is therefore not just seasonal decoration. It is direct evidence that **visual participation can stand in for game participation when the game itself is gone**.
JUNE 2024 — HAUNTED NIGHT CHANGES JOBS
Wolf reposts older reusable event posters, including "Poster_HauntedNIGHTs.jpg". Ren responds that she and Ansun are on the Haunted Night poster.
Its original job was event promotion. Its 2024 job is recognition. The unchanged file has become relationship evidence: two people encounter a younger version of their shared presence through an object nobody originally made for nostalgia.
AUGUST 2026 — THE ARCHIVE LOOKS BACK AT THE ARCHIVE
The gallery reactivates around historical material. Mugen tags "oldies"; Ren recognizes the group; Syv says the material makes her miss Raja and calls it good memories; Tae jokes "oh shit we famous"; later historical images make people cry and Rummy calls them memories. Oyasumi says they need to make more memories. Mugen says a UL history short film is in the works.
PR has completed the loop. The room built to save and display media is now using saved media to produce historical consciousness—and that historical consciousness immediately generates the desire for more future memory.
SOURCE NOTES 9
On April 13, 2021, Ansun posted a reusable Discord promotional image for gaps between photoshoot winners; Mugen said she rotated posters in the official Dragon Raja Discord and then explained the 'neighborhood friendly mafia' phrase.
Weekly Planner artifacts recur from November 2021 through early 2022 with seasonal styling and later reappear in June 2024.
The June 2023 doodle artifact survives as a sequence of successive versions, with the discussion explicitly instructing members to save the latest image, add their contribution, and repost it; members worry that parallel edits can cause a doodle to disappear.
On June 7, 2023, Daya proposed making the completed doodle project the Raja poster and Discord server banner, and Mugen posted a banner version later that day.
On August 7, 2023, Daya requested the final banana collaborative image for use as the current Raja poster.
On October 20, 2023, Em contributed to the Halloween shared image despite saying Raja took too much space to reinstall; Mugen explicitly affirmed that Em remained part of the family without Raja.
On June 24, 2024, Wolf reposted the old Haunted Nights event poster; on June 25 Ren recognized herself and Ansun in it.
In August 2026, historical material in Club Media Gallery prompted explicit nostalgia and reunion responses, and the surviving corpus ended with Mugen saying a UL history short film was in the works.
